Rental accommodation between Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya

Rahul0425

Hi Everyone.

This is Rahul from India.

My wife and I would be relocating to KL soon. Our work locations would be in Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya respectively.

We are looking for a 2 Bedroom Appartment for rental accomodation, preferable closer to Shah Alam.

A few things that we are ideally looking for in the property:

1. GRAB / MRT connectivity to Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya
2. Gated community (No individual units)
3. Monthly rental b/w: 1500-2000 RM

Could you guys please suggest the areas / any specific appartment / projects that we can look into. Thanks in advance.

Thank you.

Yes, I checked but unable to locate residential areas meeting my requirements. So reached out to this forum for some guidance.

Since you know where you will be looking for a rented apartment, then just go to one of the several online property websites, enter the location, number of bedrooms, rental budget etc and you can see exactly what is for sale, contact details of the agent etc.

Some of the better known property websites are iproperty, star property, property guru etc.

Once you are in contact with an agent then just explain that you need train access and a gated community. Incidentally, almost all condominiums have security guards. And, remember that it is the landlord who pays the agency commission and not the tenant.

Before handing over any money to the agent, check the apartment out carefully for leaks, damp patches as the apartment above may have leaking pipes, check the tap water is clear as older apartments that have not upgraded their piping may have rusty in the water, check the electrical appliances all work, try out all the air-conditioners and ask that the owner services them before you move in, make sure that you have a grill door at the entrance to your apartment.
