Hi, I am Duncan

I am from London, England and regularly work around Europe.

I am currently in Luxembourg, where I work as computer database consulatant for an investment bank.

I have a blog here.

I am also a dedicated vegan and keep a track of local foods and restaurants.

Hi Julien.

I have worked in Frankfurt and Biberach in Germany.

Biberach is a prosperous town south of Munich and was beautiful. There was a great expat community there, which unfortunely I have lost touch with. I guess that is the way sometimes.

Frankfurt was ok, but not as lively but still a lot of great places to eat and drink. German beer is amazing

More recently, I was in Antwerp, which was a fun place. I learnt some Flemish to get by, which is a great thing to do when abroad. It helps to meet people and is a refreshing break from the norm.

But Luxembourg has so far, been really great. I hope to stay here for a while and immerse in the culture. It is so diverse, with europeans from so many different countries living and working here. :)

You know I am a bit curious ... how many languages are spoken in Luxembourg?
Another question: Is it easy to get a job there?

Blueshark

French, German and Luxembourgish are the three official languages.

Also English is spoken by many (as usual !)

The city is geared toward finance, so if you want to work in that sector, there are jobs here. It is as easy/difficult to get a job as anywhere, but it helps if they know you are dedicated to moving to the country (like you obviously have before).

What sort of IT do you do?

Julien

Web programing and e-business... but I think I've found something interesting in another IT field. I am moving to Paris very soon, and I might travel all around Europe :)
