Hi,
My wife and I are about to come to live in Malta very very shortly from the U.K. My wife is Maltese and I have applied for Citizenship.
I came across a thread about wages and them being so low Ie:- the new bus company pays around 3,50€ per hour. Even at 58 hours this only brings in 203€ a week even if this figure is after deductions.  My questions are is that rate at Malta’s minimum wage and where do all the Maltese live as looking at the rents on Quicklets the cheapest we have come across is above 600€ pcm? If this is the case then no one in Malta can afford to live. I was expecting lower wages but so low! Would someone please tell me this is wrong information.

Welcome to the Forum, I looked on line and the wages I saw stated upto €7 per hour, if you do a search for Transport of Malta you may find more information , good luck.
