Buying a car in Almaty without residency

Hi all,

Just being living in Japan and looking to fly via Mongolia to Almaty and from there travel through Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan Turkmenistan and across ending in Georgia. Realised the easiest way to do this would be with a car. Is this possible without being a resident of Khazakstan? Furthermore if anyone could offer any alternatives if it's not I'd really appreciate it.
