Case against sponsorer and then work permit cancellation

Post new topic

Kriti28

Hi we had issues against our sponsorer. We filed police case against him for passport confiscation and physical violence. He gave our passports back in police station. Meanwhile we had also sent him resignation through post. After that now our work permit is cancelled by sponsorer.
My worry is that can the sponsorer go to police and file run away case on us? And After work permit cancellation what should we  to do to cancel our visa and leave bahrain?

Don't be confused.  Work permit / visa is the same thing.  If it has been cancelled then you have 30 days to leave the country.  Get your passport from the police and leave.

He can't mark you as absconding if the work permit has been cancelled.  To be on the safe side, go to LMRA and check before leaving to see if anything has been filed before cancellation.
