People in District 7 are excited to exercise outdoors
"HO CHI MINH CITY On the first day of District 7's park opening, many people came to exercise excitedly, feeling like "a bird out of a cage" after more than 3 months in the house."
After months of lockdown, residents are allowed out to exercise., the website includes video.
District 7 go out to exercise
I have an ex pat friend who lives in District 7 & he told me weeks back "lock down, what lock down" & Its been pretty much life as normal, round where he lives anyways.
Round here I see more & more signs that the people are getting fed up & the barrier tapes are either torn down or removed & people are starting to go out in daily greater numbers to exercise & socialise in the gardens even though I would guess at most only 20% of the residents here have had the two vaccines.
I had a an idea that seems to me to make sense - why not test for antibodies and issue "greencard, yellowcard" on the amount, lets say 0-100% over 70% you get a green and over 50% you get a yellow so the amount of antibodies & thus protection you have the more safe it is for you to go out and mix.
This way people who have had covid get one based on antibodies and also if you have just 1 shot and levels go high because body responds well you get one, people who don't respond well have to wait until safe limit and not just I've had 1 or 2 shots now I want to go mix.
I believe antibody test kits are being developed that show the amount in 15 min.
I recently had antibody test and it can show if you have antibodies and where you received them, vaccine or having had Covid. I have antibodies from vaccine…

Where & how did you arrange test? how much did it cost?

Unless it's YOUR child.
How does my comment exclude your child?
By all means do all that you can to protect your child. That is your right and duty. If you think you need to keep him at home, keep him masked throughout childhood, keep him off a motorbike and skateboard, homeschooled, homeopathed, vegetarianized, whatever, that is your free private decision.
My outlook is more libertarian regarding the role of government in my life. I wish for less.

The risk of myocarditis for children under 16 years is 37 times higher for those infected with COVID-19 than those who haven't been infected with the virus https://www.aappublications.org/news/20 … ren-083121
However, some children become severely ill with COVID-19.They might need to be hospitalized, treated in the intensive care unit or placed on a ventilator to help them breathe, according to the Centers for Disease Control COVID-19 (coronavirus) in babies and children - Mayo Clinic
In most cases, COVID-19 may be milder in young children than in adults, but parents and caregivers should understand that children can be infected with the coronavirus, can develop complications requiring hospitalization, and can transmit the virus to others.
In rare cases, children infected with the coronavirus can develop a serious lung infection and become very sick with COVID-19, and deaths have occurred. That’s why it is important to use precautions and prevent infection in children as well as adults. Coronavirus in Babies and Kids: Symptoms and Prevention

After 3 times of once a week we have moved to every 3 days?
Just in from VnExpress
Prime Minister: 'We will run out of resources if we only focus on fighting the epidemic'
"Government leaders affirmed that fighting the epidemic and economic development must go hand in hand, if we only focus on fighting the epidemic, we will run out of resources, and only worrying about the economy will not protect people's health.
This point of view was emphasized by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the opening of a nationwide online conference with the business community and localities on solutions to continue supporting businesses in the context of Covid-19, on the morning of September 26. This is the second time the head of government has met and discussed with the business community across the country in nearly two months.
Expressing his views on harmonizing benefits and sharing risks, the Prime Minister assessed that not because of difficulties, but pessimism, confusion and fear. According to him, the more difficult and complicated the situation is, the more it is necessary to unite, promote democracy, mobilize collective wisdom, listen to and respect each other's opinions, and use difficulties and challenges as motivation to rise up."
Looks like the tide is turning open up or go broke.

This right here. Spends all his time talking in the party bubble. Should be meeting daily with business leaders, and also Samsung, Nike, foreign investors, etc,.
"Why can't there be more harmony?"
it is necessary to unite, promote democracy, mobilize collective wisdom, listen to and respect each other's opinions
Hello, United States of VIetnam? I vote to open businesses now. Thank you.

WOW!
Just looked out into street, people everywhere, walked to end of our deadend street and the bigger street that had a barrier to big road is GONE just like news stories about removing them before 30th Sept.
Bike riders are now going past every second or so and the traffic volume is up many times that of yesterday.
People in houses in our street are putting masks on and ambling out of the street looking around and at the clear blue sky?
Story seems to be we can go outside walk around but not go out on bike, police still on borders between districts?
I'm sure its lost in translation, anyone else see any changes this morning yet?
No one seems to get the idea of 2 shots and 2 weeks green card and go out,, its barrier gone so lets all go get covid?
None of the people walking out have had 2 shots and 2 weeks?

Ho Chi Minh City proposes to change some criteria for 'control of Covid-19'
"The Ho Chi Minh City government proposed not to count new cases in the community, but instead with severe cases and deaths, without concentrated isolation in F1... in the epidemic control criteria."
I remember saying this exact point months ago about report deaths not cases and was shouted down by our local "expert of everything covid"
Every point made has now come to be the norm,, oh what a "expert" he was
Fighting a disease without incidence or prevalence reporting, why not? A world without denominators would eliminate worry about many things. Freeing!

The news on vaccine passport is published on Sức Khỏe & Đời Sống (Health & Life), the mouthpiece of MoH so the content is true. However, the first sentence of the original article uses the term "truyền đạt ý kiến chỉ đạo", which means "conveying opinions and instructions" (the translation you and Andy got from Google omitted the word "opinions").
There are many news relating to Covid that I'm spending my time on. I'll read the follow up on this one in a couple years.

The plan is now to ride to VT spend a week there relax and keep heading north every few days until we get bored then put bikes on a train and fly back,,, who cares when we return at this stage.
The laptop can go in the Givi bike luggage and the boys can learn online no matter where they are, if they have to go back to school then plan B is grandmas and see ya later.

Once they lift the travel restrictions you will be fine. When that happens, who knows. Even travelling within BRVT is not allowed without the required documents from the UBND.

Hundreds of barriers in the 'green zone' were removed
"Many districts of Ho Chi Minh City organized forces to dismantle hundreds of barriers in "green areas", preparing for the coming new normal period.
Yesterday afternoon, police and militiamen of Ward 4, Tan Binh District, came to dismantle the barricade at alley 17 Ut Tich. Many people in the 6-meter-wide alley clapped their hands happily because after a long time of barricades, the alley became clear. "Removing the barrier makes me feel more comfortable, it's easy to do anything necessary. It feels like the epidemic is repelled when the strung, barbed wires are gone," said Ms. Nguyen My Ngoc, said the residents of the alley."

On a positive note this morning................. goodolboy had no adverse reactions what so ever after the second Astra jab, it was like life & dreams as normal yesterday & last night.
On a negative note...............went in to the SSKDT APP that the very kind young man downloaded on my smart phone to enter all the details needed, all the usual stuff, PP number, telephone number etc etc.
Problem 1.......my Zalo telephone number did not match my Mobi number that I am Covid vaccine registered under. So had to open a new Zalo with my Mobi number & moved on.
After doing that got logged in & everything went well with inputting my details UNTIL!! right at the end they ask you enter a 4 digit OTP that is sent to your mobile. 5 times I got the OTP sent to my mobile number, entered it in exactly as sent to my phone..........OH NO it says you have entered the wrong OTP try again. 5 times tried & 5 times failed & after nearly lobbing my phone over the balcony to its death we gave up & went to bed. A couple of days back Ms My registered no problem so its a mystery.

Get back to your tea & toast buddy and chill -
You think YOU have problems, when I log into the app all i get is a white page with no vaccines, a qr code, my name and PP number on it its like no one has added any of my vaccine info on it.
Meanwhile, across in D2 JIgs has the same problem as me but his wife who got her shot same place same time has a green certificate 10 secs after they scanned her qr code and the vaccine?
All this while reading a news story they missed 150,000 positive cases off the reporting somehow?

After doing that got logged in & everything went well with inputting my details UNTIL!! right at the end they ask you enter a 4 digit OTP that is sent to your mobile. 5 times I got the OTP sent to my mobile number, entered it in exactly as sent to my phone..........OH NO it says you have entered the wrong OTP try again. 5 times tried & 5 times failed & after nearly lobbing my phone over the balcony to its death we gave up & went to bed. A couple of days back Ms My registered no problem so its a mystery.
The app is terribly coded, added to which data entry centers do not follow the same set procedure.
Anyone logging in to check status should be aware that how their name is displayed can make a huge difference.
No status update... Click on your name and change it all to upper case...hit save and log out. Wait a while and log back in and in same cases status is updated.
I changed mine to Uppercase last night,,, this morning I now have a green card.
This is scary

Video shows the raid and dragging her out
The title is misleading it says Police "break doors" in the first second you can clearly see the locksmith just opening the door no actual force was used to enter - The woman resisted (0:14 ->) and was placed in a double arm lock and escorted out.
No idea why they didn't save the woman this embarrassment and just do it in the apartment out of sight, after talking to her and calming her down.
On the other hand, she should have listened to Police and not resisted what should have been a simple procedure if all it was just a case of her not hearing them asking for her to go and have a test.
Currently, the authorities of Thuan An city are clarifying the case, including details of functional forces breaking the door of the apartment, coercive sampling, in accordance with the law or not.
