Hello everyone,

While there is still a certain amount of uncertainty in our lives, the situation seems to be beginning to change in Japan and globally.
We have had to show courage, tenacity and even ingenuity in many areas, in the way we work, in being alone or with our families, in how we look after our children, or we channel our stress and emotions in the face of this health crisis that has turned our daily lives upside down.
We wanted to hear your feedback on these last few months in Japan.

What will you remember from this very special period?

Have these unusual times allowed you discover things about yourselves or your loved ones?

Did this period lead you to make changes in your lifestyle that you would like to maintain in the future? If so, which ones?

How do you plan for the future in Japan? Have the last few weeks caused you to review your priorities or certain projects?

Thank you for your contribution and take care of yourself,

Loïc

I have been in Japan for 11  years. I was here during the Tsunami in 2011 and I am here now in 2020, living through the coronavirus situation. One thing that this country has thought me is not to panic. Everyone around me seems calm and composed.
I was scared initially about managing everything alone, as my husband was out of Japan and got stranded in India, due to the emergency lockdown.
One of my major concerns was, who will take care of my child if I get infected by the virus?
However as we approach the end of the emergency situation here, I must say taking precautions and following rules to stop cross-contamination of viruses helped us to not get sick.
I used the emergency period to stay at home with my little one. I got my self registered online, for some course. I used this time to do all that, I don't usually get time to do, due to my busy schedule.
Somethings that I would like to continue following even after all this is over, is living a healthy life.
I am happy that I am here in Japan during this situation. I will always be grateful to this country for taking good care of its people. I am also grateful to the people around me for sincerely following the safety guidelines and not panicking.
