Residence permit processing time during COVID19

Hello,

I have applied for work permit with Pay Limit Scheme.

Application Submitted: 28/04/2021
Biometrics: 04/05/2021
Status: Processing

Whenever I call SIRI they say the case is still processing and I need to wait.

This is the standard answer when you call SIRI. They cannot come it closer, and every call will delay the case processing.

I can only urge you not to call SIRI about the waiting time.

Hello Nellie,

Thanks for letting me know. I did not know that calling could delay the case processing. I was only calling to check the status of the case. I changed countries during this process (so the consulate they will send the decision is changed), and I am pretty anxious about the process.

I understand why you are anxious and impatient, would be it myself, but when the staff shall use time on answering questions, they cannot do any other work, the work that really matters in your and others cases.

Just to be clear, your call will not delay the processing of your personal case, but cases in general.

Hi, I got my approval unexpectedly early

Pay-limit scheme application, converted midway to Fast Track (non-EU citizen, no visa required to visit Denmark)
Application submitted electronically: 17/08/2021
Biometrics taken in my home country: 27/08/2021
Status: Received approval letter 21/09/2021 (first from my employer, then hours later directly from the Danish Consulate in my home country)

Exactly five weeks from application submitted to work permit approved!

Where and how do you apply for employment?, do you know any company who is hiring? Please thank you

Hi! If it’s ok with u to answer, how did you convert your application midway to fast track? Was it a procedure it was done by embassy?

My employer applied to be on the fast track list after I applied under the pay limit scheme.  Once my employer's fast track application was approved, my employer than contacted SIRI to have my application moved to the fast track scheme.  I honestly don't know what the employer had to do on their end - possibly submit a new application? - but I personally did not have to submit anything beyond what I had already done for the pay limit scheme.

I am also in same boat and waiting anxiously from last 7 weeks. Earlier I had a view that I will receive the Visa within 1 month as per timelines defined on official website. But now, after seeing comments here it looks like I was living in a dream.

In my case the fast track visa took 1,5 month (application/biometrics done end of June). However, family visas took almost 4 month to complete.

I have applied for pay limit scheme 24th September and still my case is under process. I need to start working in a week time but SIRI only says we know its frustrating but you need to wait and of course they don't give any estimation regarding my case.
Is there anyone who has applied late September and already got an answer?

Talk to your employer, inform about the delay.

I informed my employer and they said let's wait another week to see if the situation changes or not...

Does anyone reached the start date for their job but still awaiting the permit?
Is there any paperwork we should do like an amendment to the job contract or as such?

If you have Nem ID you can check in "my page" at www.nyidenmark.dk . Otherwise you should call the embassy or the SIRI.

They are saying it will take between 3 to 4 months.

I applied on 24th September just received an email saying they have send my job contract to Labour Market Council for verification to be align with danish rules and they expect an answer in 3 weeks .

Good news that you application is under review. Hopefully, the rest will not take excessively long time for you. Do you know by chance whether sending the contract to the Job Market Council is a standard practice or your case/job/contract have some specific features?

I hope that it also means that SIRI began to review the applications submitted at the end of September

Thanks for your positive vibe.
I have no clue in which cases they send the contract to the Council but since this is my second experience in work permit in pay limit scheme category of Denmark and considering the difference in time and contract period, my best guess is that either this is a new routine or it's because this time my job contract is not a permanent one and is for a fix period of time. Otherwise,  everything is the same as my previous job contract.

I believe your case will be processed soon, cause SIRI has hired new staff in order to fix the backlogs.

I just hope we ain't alone on the awaiting list because am tired of waiting, frustrated and am done calling.  We have applied as an accompanying family members (mine with kids).
  Online application submitted on 22nd of july, biometric received on 3rd of August . Still waiting.  So tiring and emotionally draining. We hope to receive a response soon.😔 Any response recently?

I haven't received my permit yet and still awaiting. I have applied on 24th Sep. On paylimit scheme as the main applicant ...
As far as I know, they are struggling with main applicants as their priority

I got the Visa for myself but my family is still waiting for Visa. I have landed in Copenhagen alone & it seems like a long lonely wait.
Since everyone is working from home these days due to Covid. I am completely lonely without my family. I am spending my time talking to walls & by staring at the ceilings these days .

As per their mentioned processing time which is 2 months on NYDenmark web portal. We have already passed 4 months. Not sure what is taking them to process dependent visas
