Post new topic

winteryrose1984

I have a state of New Jersey driver's license which expired last year. Is it possible to renew it at the consulate or embassy? I'm a female by the way.

Bernex

Im British but have a texas license, if its the same you have to be there to do it as you have to do an eye test. Good excuse for a trip home?

RedGoblin

@rose: with all thats happening around in this part of the world on women driving and all, you are talking about driving licences? hehe...

you need to get the eye test and if its been more than 6 month since expiry, youll need to take that retarded written test too!

the embassy told me to go and just the local one. i got a saudi one without having to do anything (no eye test or anything) and its valid for the next 10 years!! the traffic laws here are unbelievable! oh wait, there are no traffic laws out here!

@Bernex: Yeah, I guess so. I', seriously thinking about that ;)

@RedGoblin: Why not? lol. When I drive I need to have a valid license right? :P

@borntobemild: You are right about traffic laws here. I can't stand the stupidity sometimes. I heard that I would have to take the test all over again as well I just didn't want to believe it :( I have to go back to being 16 all over again. Oh well

Hi Rose,

In Canada, you can renew your D.L. within 1 year after the expiration of your D.L. You could give a call to one of your friends or the issuer of your D.L. to make sure about the regulations over there.

Best luck
