Hello,

I am an indian national based in Belgium since 4 years now.
I work in a Belgian company and receive me remuneration as per the Belgian Law (13.92 months payout). My job profile is of an Infrastructure lead in Information technology.

I have several opportunities for a job in NL (Amsterdam, Ultrect ..etc) but I am trying to find out the difference in the payout structures.

Can someone guide me with the standard procedures and laws concerning employment in NL (For eg, No of annual leaves, insurance and mutuality, salary payout, AVERAGE salary  etc )

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Kr,
Roh.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Holidays are regulated to a minimum of 20 days paid holiday p/annum.

Social Insurance deductions are circa 28% of salary (up to a ceiling of 9.5k euro); income tax is additional to this; there is a tax calculator at this link that can help calculate it all.

Salary - Dutch pay the going rate, there are no published average salaries - you can ask in LinkedIn to see if anybody is willing to disclose what they earn

Health Insurance is compulsory, basic is circa 185 euro p/month, but you need to research that in accordance with your needs as the basic insurance does not cover everything,

Hope this helps.

Hi Rohit45,
use Glassdoor website, it a relatively good approach.  Search for you job in some known companies, and use an average.

But don't forget if you are intending to come with a High Skilled Visa, the mininum salary is € 4,612 (±60k)
