Hello All,

I am in NL on HSM permit and now I got a new long term contract from another employer which is IND recognized sponsor.

Can anyone tell me the process of changing the employer in NL on HSM ?

Do I need to just inform the IND that I got a new contract and update the permit ?

or the next employer has to initiate any process on behalf of me at IND ?

Thanks in advance.

Cynic

Hi again.

You're new employer must be registered with the IND; ask them to contact the IND asap to initiate the process of sponsoring your new work visa as your old visa will no longer be valid.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

As I said earlier my new employer is already under a IND sponsorship.
What they have to do else apart from this or me ?

Thanks in advance.

Cynic

Apologies; I thought you said earlier that you were living in Belgium.  They have to sponsor your new work permit.

IamAnXpat

OK
What is the procedure then to change the employer in NL on HSM ?
Either me or new employer has to inform the IND ?
And what about resident permit ?

Thanks in advance

Cynic

Hi again.

HSM is a joint work/resident permit; if you change employer, you must start again, so your new employer must sponsor your new application with IND just like your previous employer did, they normally get outside assistance to do this, but some of the big companies who do a lot of it may do it themselves.

Hope this helps.

My new employer has no idea about this.
Can you explain it in bit more details ?
My new employer has to file the application again at IND for this ?

I'm sorry, but this is nonsense; if your new employer is registered with IND as you say, then they will have a business portal access to process your application, it's part of the process; read the link I gave you yesterday.

Hello,

Which link ?
I dont see any link in the post.
Can you share it again ?

Thanks in advance.

Cynic

Hi again.

This link.

Scroll halfway down the page and there is a weblink to "EHerkenning" - this is the business portal that your employer has the log-in details and password for.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

I just checked but there is nothing like "EHerkenning".
Can you please mention the exact section ?
When i open the link it opens in English.

Hi again.

It is in the paragraph called "Online application"

IamAnXpat

But i think that online application is when we are coming 1st time in NL on MVV approval. And once we are in NL on MVV we collect resident permit and start working for the employer.
Now I am already in NL and got a long term contract from IND sponsor company so no need of MVV now.
But now I am not sure on next process how i can start working for the next employer ?
Do I need to inform IND and update my resident permit which is limited earlier for 1 year of contract ?
or my next employer has to initiate any process at IND ?

Cynic

Hi again.

They have a saying in Dutch, roughly translates to "You should leave the thinking to a horse, it has a much bigger head than you do".

The requirements are that both your old and new employer must notify the IND of the change in your circumstances.  The reason why your new company must apply is that the IND has to be satisfied that you meet all the conditions of qualifying for HSM.  Your new employer can only do that by submitting a new application.
