Hello,

As during the confinement time, most of visa type processing was stopped, now that it is again reopened, I would like to know if visa D for art10 are now processed quickly than before as most likely older files were handled during confinement.
Did some someone submit recently and he/she got a response for family reunification. It will be nice if you could share your experiences/informations.

On the dofi website, the are still saying that it may take till 15months, which  is really too long!! To be separated from your family many months is so difficult. I hope they could speed up the process

any helpful information is welcome.

Thank you

Hi!

I guess I can relate to your anxiety over it. I went through same, as looking at those minimum time needed for processing as per the website really makes you restless. But I can share my experience and maybe it will make you calm down. I submitted my documents on July 14th, and by 17th July itself it reached Brussels. Maybe because I submitted my application just the day Visa application centre re-opened in New Delhi, there was no delay from Embassy here in processing it to Belgium. So from 17th July till 23rd August the file was under observation. On 24th, the status on iBZ website changed and I got to know that they have sent my documents back to India. And finally on 3rd of September, I recieved my passport with Visa affixed!
Just a small tip- make sure that all documents are well prepared before submitting. Follow whatever is written in the requirement as per the VFS website, each and every word and re-check the documents several times. Also, the Embassy of Belgium in India is supposed to give you the file number of your application (not the number given by VFS, but a different number when it is processed to Belgium), but they didn't do so on their own. I waited for 1 month thinking the file is still in India, then finally upon dropping a mail to the Embassy to enquire the status they told that they processed it to Belgium long back. Then they gave me the file number and I tracked it from dofi website and was keeping a regular check.
Finally, I don't think so there was any pending applications during Covid time, which is why they cleared my file so early because it was one of the first to reach post the break. Goodluck!

Hello Krishnakshi,

Thank you for sharing your experience.
I'm glad for you that you got your visa. As you said, perhaps it is because you was among  the first ones to submit their files.

I hope to got mine soon.
I hope also that they speed up the process so that each and every one can get his visa and get reunified with his family.

Authorities should think about this point to facilitate life for human being.
Even if there are many files to be processed we have to find solutions, by recruiting more people for example. When it comes to human being's life we have to find solutions.

Best regards,

Hello,

Does any one have any news on this subject?
Did  someone submit his file recently for family reunification art10 and he got a response?

Best regards,

Simon Xu

In my case, my wife's family reunification art10bis was applying on 4, Sept. And it lacked one file, we provide it on 15, Sept. Then, the embassy sent a message to us on 17, Sept. It said the visa process continued. Until now, I can't search any information from dofi.ibz. There is always no result.

Aneesh

If your file is sent to DOFI it takes at least a month to start showing any status in their website.

Simon Xu

Thanks, we will keep patient.

Hello,

The file has been sent for almost a month. Hopefully, it will shows in the comping days in their website.

I hope also, that the administration review the processing time which is very long.. and people are far from their families while waiting for the reunification.

Kind regards,

deebardo

Hi @Art10, @SimonXu, do you have updates on your visa application? Could you share how long it took? Thank you

Simon Xu

Hello, I can give you good news. I have received the visa after waiting for 2 months.

deebardo

Thanks for sharing!

Hi, quick question, when you receive the visa file number from VFS, that means that your documents have reached Belgium right? We got the file number on Dec7 but still no status on dofi site. :( Thank you

AlexFromBelgium

If you did fill your schengen visa form through visaonweb, you should be able to read a number in the application number column
The last number (remove the leading 0) are the application number to be used on dofi website.

But as far as I remember, dofi now allows search based on the VFS number too.

The embassy keeps ok on asking me for a 'My Rent' document - I have shared the rental agreement as well as a written note from my landlord they are still not accepting it.
Do we have a specific format for the same.

cchaitu05

You should upload your rental agreement in myrent website and get it registered. From there you can a registration document and you have to share that to the ministry

You ll find more info here
https://financien.belgium.be/nl/E-services/MyRent

Can i do it or should i ask the landlord to do it.

cchaitu05

Normally landlord does this. But we can also get it done ourselves and inform landlord. To get it quick , I recommend you do it
