What types of 'barbeques' are used in Malta - gas, charcoal or wood? This is for both rooftop and 'beach' barbequeing.

I use charcoal on the beach, mostly the 5euro disposable grills because they are so easy to clean up after using them.

Can anybody confirm about the licence for beach bbq's?  I have been told you need to get a 2 euro permission licence to have one due to the amount of debris being left behind or is this just for Sliema?

thanks

Thanks for your replies. Is charcoal in a bag easy to find/purchace or must one buy a disposable barbeque?

Toon
