Does Size Really Matter?

Does Size Really Matter? Subject line is kind of misleading, but here you are. Things that I find small.

I recently order 4 XXXXL boxer shorts for me, wow extremely small, my son who is a medium had trouble fitting into them.

I couldn't find any pants that fit me, I also had the same problem in the states, when I could find the right waist size in the states the legs  were 6/8 inches too long, they had to be altered, but the legs were too floppy.

Same thing with T-Shirts and Shoes, hard time finding proper size in Fil.

Here in the Fil I went to a tailor that sent me to the mall to buy material. He charged me about $100 for three pairs of pants that fit and look good.

Groceries: Tiny Bananas, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Pineapples and Fuji Apples.  (all small)

Tiny Elevators & Doctor offices.

Fil condos average less than 50 meters, in US 82 meters.

Fil average lot size average 40 to 120  square meters, in US 798 square meters.

Fil average bathroom size 1.2 square meters, in US 38 Square meters (almost the size of a Fil Condo)

Fil bathroom door half the size of US bathroom door.

Fil average male height is 5' 4" or 162.5 cm, average US male height 5' 9" or 175 cm.

Fil average female height is 4'11" or 150 cm tall, average US female height is 5'4" or 162.5 cm tall.

We have a Philippine winner here:  The average household in Fil is 4.8 people, in the US 2.5 people.

I forgot two other things on my op:

Jollibee Chicken . . . . Where do they get these midget chicken's from? My wifes nephew who is a manager of a Jollibees explain to us that when you order delivery it's a good chance the pieces are going to be smaller. So now when we order Jollibees I send my son over to pick it up and he tells them NO Small Pieces, seems to work.

Also Greenwich Family Size Pizza 15" (176 sq inches)
S&R Pizza is 18" (254 sq inches)

oh man..

Size and comfort is subjective, but then again I guess taste must be too.

Clothing wise, I don't know how my missus found it, but she manage to get me a bunch of tshirts from online that actually fit, think they were XXL, removed label, it was irritating me. Good Quality, 100% Cotton and a lot of my favorite bands or just cute logo's - Big malls may carry XL-XXL western size in limited quantity. Shorts I found some at Old Navy and American Eagle, I'm a 38-40" waist and about 32" inseam. Denim forget Levi's, they only carry asian size last I was there, I found some nice denim at Mark & Spencer, they have different fits and also 40" waist.

If you been in HK or JP, size of units here is heaven like comparing a house in the suburbs of NY vs PH. I rent 2 units in the same building, 1 is approx 700 sq feet 2 BR, another is about 300 sq feet 1 BR. 1 for living and the other is half storage / half office. Funny thing is both my unit equates to about only 1/3 of the rent I paid in HK for a equal approx 900 sq feet 3 BR unit, tho it's more like 2 BR and a huge walkin closet. The building was a also a very old building, new building you can tack on another 50-80% of cost.

Sure probably not the best use of funds doing it this way, a house would be much more cost effective but we need the added security of guards and looking at a huge pool is kinda nice icing on the cake.

As for food

In my Area, unfortunately the only decent restaurant here is Bario Fiesta and they been closed since the outbreak.

There's some restaurants about a half mile away, but I never been there as I only noticed them there after the outbreak. Grills, a all you can eat K buffet place, couple of nice looking bar and resto's.

There's a Starbucks. Yay !

Shakey's Pizza - I don't think they even use real cheese, must be that processed crap cus it's just a oily mess and tomato sauce must be very expensive I guess, since they are really cheap with the sauce and cheese, which is probably why their pizza taste like crap. It's also expensive by comparison, I guess that's how they convince you  buy a yearly membership and get buy 1 take 1 free pizza. I had bread with butter that tasted better

and mojo, does anyone even like eating those? it's like a cross between a bake potato and crispy fries.

Yellow Cab, a bit on the greasy side, but at least the cheese taste real, good amount of tomato sauce. Avoid the pepperoni unless you want you pizza to be really oily, The aglio olio which I like to call "Aglio Oily Yo" ....

Chow King - kinda decent for chinese fast food I guess.

There's always Burger King.

Greenwich - only ate there a few times, pizza is too thick, also not enough ingredients, but at least it's not oily.

Bon Chon - fine as long as I'm willing to wait 20  minutes average when collecting food, chicken is dry most of the time and the beef stew sometimes is missing most of the beef. 1 or 2 pieces only, Really? I think my cat eats more then that from a can.

Jolibee - the worst fried chicken I ever tasted, WHy do they always give me all breasts when I'm ordering a bucket of 6 or 8 ? and why is the meat so dry ? overkill on the batter and worst, sometimes they over use the oil leaving the chicken tasting really bad, defeat the whole purpose of fried chicken.

Funny thing is Jolibee in Hong Kong - Hung Hom is rated the best fried chicken in Hong Kong and for good reason, meat is tender, moist, skin is crispy but not oily, and the chicken is served hot, really hot. Maybe they can learn a thing or two from them.

My choice of food now is S&R for Pizza, Blakes for ribs, Jerry's for grill, Kim Chee for Korean, Pizza Hut here actually isn't too bad and probably gives Shakey's a run for their money.. and if I want to eat healthy, well that's when my missus cooks

On another subject : have you ever noticed that Grab Food delivers your food cold most of the time but Food Panda delivers your food Hot most of the time ? I noticed all Panda drivers have boxes while most Grab drivers dont.
