Weather in Puerta Vallarta

Post new topic

vborough

Hello,

I saw a post recently about summers in Puerto Vallarta.
I didn’t see anything about rain fall.
Does it rain in summer at all?
What are the rainy months?

Welcome to ex-pat Mexico Vanessa.

Environmentally there are no longer guarantees.

Generally, the summer, especially September is pretty wet and there could even be floods. Many of us have adopted a wait and see attitude.  For instance, there have been no hurricanes where I am and this is the "normal" season. In the last few years, the weather has shifted everywhere and even in Europe hurricanes were seen.

Hello ! good afternoon, to answer your question rain season in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco and all bahia de banderas Nayarit, it rains all summer long and starts to fade off around November.
It  mostly rains at night almost everyday and sometimes during the day. So you can enjoy the sun, sand and the beach during the day and enjoy the sound of rain drops and a cool breeze at night.

Thank you that sounds wonderful. I love hearing the rain at night.

It seems like you are in real estate. Would you be able to estimate on the cost of a rental,  simple two bedroom single story house for rent in PV or one of the other little villages north of there.

On another post here in Expat.com, I learned about a website that's easy to navigate that presents annual weather data in easily understood charts.
https://weatherspark.com/y/3402/Average … Year-Round
I loaded the page for PV. It shows the rainy season ramps up in June and down in October.  The chart for Humidity Comfort Levels cracked me up. Check it out.

Thanks I’ll check it out
