Reseidence permit in bahrain

hi,
To get a resident permit in bahrain i understand that we need to hold a property worth 50k bhd or more in specified areas.  and we need to prove that we have a monthly income of 500 bd or more, plus health insurance etc etc. but i also read somewhere that we cannot work / we are not allowed to work here in govt sector/private sector, here in bahrain, for getting resident permit. so my question is - can i own a small business which is generating income of around 500 bd or more? can i show that as my monthly income to get resident permit?  if i own a business, am i still eligible to get resident permit? (when all other cirteira are fulfilled, like buying property etc etc) pls help me with this query, as it is really eating my brain. and i couldnt find a proper answer for this even from visa agents/advisors

I have covered this process many many many times on these forums.   Use the search button in the future - or look at the stickies.

Read this sticky for the visa process specifically the self sponsorship visa re: property:

To keep it simple, if you get a visa based on property, you cannot work.  Also if you own a business, you can get the visa ON the business i.e. investor visa (no need to buy property) - that process, I have also covered in the below sticky.
