KSA BAHRAIN CAUSEWAY

Post new topic

Can we travel from KSA to Bahrain via Causeway ?

XTang

Yes you can if you have an Iqama (visa on arrival) or visa for Bahrain.

You will pay 600 SAR on arrival for a Covid test.  And then you MUST self isolate till the results come.  If negative, you can then move around.

Or do a test in Saudi within 72 hours of entry to Bahrain.  In that case, no test on arrival - you need to show the results to them on the Sehatty app.

Thanks.
Your reply is helpful.

Thanks for the information about traveling from KSA TO BAHRAIN.. how many days isolation required after taking test from Cause way after paying 600 riyals after results are negative..kindly clarify whether the payment can be done in credit card ? (or) cash is the only payment option.

Does any of your frds crossed KSA TO bahrain and Bahrain to KSA... .company allows me only when there is possibility of coming back to ksa again..considering the present situation is it possible to go to bahrain and come back to ksa in causeway?

XTang

After paying 600 SAR, you have to isolate till results come out which usually takes 24 hours.  And you can pay online via the BeAware app which you can download beforehand.

In terms of crossing, I have done it myself.  When you enter back into KSA, you need to get tested in Bahrain and carry report with you.  This will cost 40-50 BD in Bahrain.  Then you have to self isolate in KSA for two days, set your location on Tawakalna app and then do a test (After the two days), booked via the Sehatty app, to be able to move around.

Thiagu

Mr.XTang..your information is very helpful. I am planning to move from KSA to Bahrain on 21st Oct'2020 .
1. Ill do the payment in beaware app before my journey and make a download copy of the same.

2.Will they do the test in causeway?while crossing the border from ksa to bah.?

3.Once the results are negative I heard again after 10 days we need to take one more PCR test.? Where do i have to take this test? my frd who came from india have taken both the test in Airport..in this case should i need to come to causeway for again one more test? (or) any assigned hospital by them... i hope this 600riyal payment is for both the test (or) i need to pay again for the second pcr test after ten days.

Kindly provide your comments on the same.

XTang

They will do the test when you enter Bahrain after exiting from KSA.  After 10 days, you have to take a second test (but not pay for it) - that you can schedule from the app.  It is done at the exhibition center in Bahrain via drive through or walk in.

Thiagu

Thanks and a final question...I will be travelling from jedday to damman in flight and from damman to causeway border through company vehicle

Is it any problem in crossing the border(ksa to bahrain) and taking a private taxi (or) moving to home with friend after taking test in causeway... is it okie i can travel from cause way by public r private transport to home ?

XTang

Yes you can. But wearing mask is a must and ideally sit in the backseat.

Thiagu

Thanks for your reply  :)

Used to commute Bahrain>KSA before Covid. Have iqama but been asked to return to KSA to get final exit visa issued. Two questions:
1) If I no longer have active the Saudi cell no. associated with my absher account will this be an issue for the Tawakalna / Shetty apps?
2) Is it realistic/allowed for me to stay on the causeway (Saudi side) for 1/2 hr whilst final exit visa is issued online, then turn around and come straight back to bahrain

XTang

1) Sehatty no issue.  Tawakalna also should work
2) Realistic yes BUT check if you can take final exit via the causeway.  As a year before Covid, they stopped allowing final exit via the causeway and asked you to fly out

trow

Many thanks - XTang, very helpful. You seem confident on air only for final exit - Worth double checking with companies GR?

Air or land- If I'm entering KSA for a only few hrs just a bit concerned how that works for health forms etc Guess the track/trace system is set up to expect a longer stay

XTang

The system requires you to set a home isolation location within 8 hours so you have plenty of time.  Check with the GR as I know for sure that they were denying final exit via the causeway a year or so ago.  Maybe it has changed now with Covid.  Check and post back your experience.

Hi, I just wanted to ask that do the Bahrain company asked you to get a final exit, I just want to clarify if I travel to Bahrain for work without taking a final exit would it be a problem.

Hi, I just wanted to ask that do the Bahrain company asked you to get a final exit, I just want to clarify if I travel to Bahrain for work without taking a final exit would it be a problem.

XTang

Two different countries so no problem. But it is in your interest to get a final exit as if you don't and leave on ERE, you get automatic ban from KSA.

Mus77

just ban from future employment or visit as well?

XTang

Everything.  Visit visa will be issued but when you enter, they will turn you back around and deport you.

Mus77

I heard a couple of cases where people left on ERE but came back on another job after 2 years or so. If I have a Bahrain CPR even then I would be denied entry?

XTang

You can't enter Saudi on a Bahrain CPR.  You need a Saudi visa.  And they can deny entry on a visa issued by them - it has nothing to do with your status in Bahrain.

Mus77

sure one needs a visa, for instance whats the process for traveling from bahrain to ksa via cause way would they still deny entry for even being bahrain resident?

XTang

I already explained it in the previous posts.  In terms of what will happen via the causeway:

You will enter via the causeway with a new visa, they will send you into a room for fingerprints and then at that time, the system will pick the ban and they will ask you to turn around and go back to Bahrain.  Simple.

Ess@5751

Can I travel to Bahrain now via causeway if I have Saudi Iqama with Electrical technician visa ? I have traveled to Bahrain through causeway multiple times before, but I don’t know if I need a visa now or is it still on arrival visa

XTang

I have posted about this many times on different threads.

Nowadays, even if you are eligible for visa on arrival in Bahrain, Saudi immigration will NOT let you exit without a Bahrain visa/passport/residency.  If you don't have one, they will either turn you back or ask you to go into a room where you will need to convince the senior officer of your reason for going to Bahrain.....and depends on your luck.  To be clear, it is not a Bahrain issue....if you somehow manage to get to Bahrain side, they will issue you a visa on arrival.

I have both Saudi and Bahrain residency but every single time I exit from Saudi, they ask to see my Bahrain CPR before they let me exit.

Ess@5751

Yes, they did the same thing to me. At immigration they asked me to get down of my car and go to Room No 1, where an official told me I can’t go to Bahrain without visa. I had also my covid test done.

Does anybody know anyone who can get me a Bahrain visa, so that I can travel through causeway ?

Mohammed Ali Khan

Hi,
I'm a saudi resident and currently staying in Bahrain for quarantine rules i.e., allowed to return KSA if stay away for more than 14 days from Restricted countries.
One of my friend will drop me at Bahrain Border at Causeway to exit. Can I walk and cross the causeway to reach Saudi Borders, as my another friend will b waiting there to receive me at Saudi Causeway mosque.
Please guide.

XTang

Generally, it's clearly written in signs that you can't walk across.  And pre-covid, forget about it.  Post Covid, they allowed it once when the 20 countries were first banned... And nationals stuck here wanted to leave via Bahrain.  So not sure if it's working now but try your luck.  It will be a longish walk though.

Mohammed Ali Khan

Thanx. Whats the other option if we dont have a car? And how much will be the charge to cross from Bahrain to Saudi.

XTang

Get a limo service.  Bahrain limo or uranus.  Costs 50-60 BD one way nowadays.

aahadk

Hi
Can i travel from Saudia to Bahrain by causeway with only one vaccine dose?

XTang

Already answered in this thread. Read carefully.

suji1682

Yes, I have a ready visa going to Bahrain. I just want to confirm If I can travel and go my final exit via Causeway or I need to travel Airport to Airport?

XTang

Final exit was working via causeway up until a few months ago.  So it should be fine.

waleedfawad786

Hi,
Is the saudi immigration still stopping us for entering bahrain or asking for a reason if wants to travel via causeway.
Can we ask the bahrain immigration to grant us 7 days visa on arrival while travelling through king fahd causeway.

XTang

Saudi immigration won't let you exit if you don't have a high Iqama profession as visa on arrival in Bahrain is not open for all professions currently.

sambasivaraonayak

Hi,

I have Iqama with Engineering Profession. Shall I go Bahrain via Causeway with on arrival visa?

XTang

Should be ok

zkitmoreno

Hi, I just want to ask, I'm a resident in KSA who wants to travel to Bahrain via Causeway.

I have my son ( 8yrs old ) and daughter ( 5 yrs old ) not yet vaccinated. What is the requirements now to travel going in and out from Saudi Arabia and going in & out from Bahrain?

Thank you

XTang

As far as I know, unvaccinated passengers can go into Bahrain via the causeway with a PCR test done within 72 hours.

The other way round, coming into Saudi, at least for adults, is NOT allowed i.e. you must have a PCR test and must be vaccinated.   If you are vaccinated, then I would assume they would let the kids come in with you.  But I am not sure about that.
