I agree wholeheartedly. I'm a mixed race American woman that has worked hard all my life. I respect our police and see that President Trump loves our country and the people. The people elected a smooth talking articulate man for 8 years who did nothing but run the country into the ground. I'm a retired teacher. I know first hand that if you don't study history you will continously be a bad decision making sheep your whole life. I pray people see what President Trump is doing and will put him back in to finish his goals. He's the first president in years to do what he promised. Trump 2020!
Andybris2020 wrote:Trump although a bombastic loud mouth has done more for the American people and country in the last 47 months than Joe Biden has done in 47 years.,,,
Many Black and Hispanic people are now seeing the light of how they have been lead like sheep to vote for the Democrats who have done nothing for them and live in crime ridden city's in trash filled streets.
This 47/47 business is a Republican talking point that Trump and Pence have parroted in the so-called debates. The bashing of USA cities is an abdication of responsibility that Trump and his supporters espouse. Note that these are cities in Trump's America in 'blue' areas for which he has refused to take responsibility.
Trump is a corrupt narcissist whose family and cronies have joined him in plundering the government for their personal benefits. He cut corporations' taxes to the detriment of the middle and below-middle classes .. belittled mask use .. and hides the full toll of covid by slow-walking testing while costing the lives of 160,000 USA persons beyond experts' expectations.
Trump lies constantly .. falsely and viciously attacks adversaries. He is obviously seeking an attorney general post-election to try to jail "Crooked Hillary," Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

And yes, OP, I will be voting.

What a joke.
This has been the worst administration in USA history. "Goals"?? Meaningless infrastructure weeks .. not getting Mexico to "pay for" a wall .. supposedly draining the swamp while making it swampier than ever .. claiming he would make America great .. hiding his disease, his tax fraud and his self-dealing .. family separations at the border -- Trump's corrupt, failed first term gives no credence to the concept the he will "finish" any worthwhile goals.
He hijacked the courts by packing them with conservatives .. and gave tax cuts to wealthy GOP donors and corporations. Trump has done little positive beyond giving pre-election lip service to minority populations and people of color while condoning the supposedly "fine people" of white supremacist movements. The Proud Boys and Boogaloos "stand by" for his green light to bring out the long guns for when Trump loses an election that he cannot legitimately win.

Loves the people? If he loves the people, he wouldn't be staging this week's Covid Superspreader Rally Tour to Florida, Pennsylvania and other states, where masks are not required .. after failing to provide real proof of his claim that his personal covid disease has been "cured."
If he had love for the people, he wouldn't call veterans "suckers." He wouldn't pretend that he has solved the worst pandemic to hit the U.S. in a century when the truth is there are more covid deaths in the U.S. than in any other country and 30 states are seeing a rise in covid cases in October.

@cccmedia, it's great to see someone stating the obvious.
Trump has all but destroyed the US in four years, an amazing feat. Then to have people still supporting him, after him botching pandemic response, knowingly lying about the seriousness, supporting a tax cut for the wealthy, supporting the ballooning of US debt, making a complete mess of foreign relations, aggravating race relations by supporting white supremacists, and being a racist himself--it's not ok.
I'm not saying that the Democrats and liberal side are great and the conservatives and Republicans are evil. I don't think US government leadership is what it should have been since Reagan's time, including Democrat positions and direction. Trump is only continuing past policies of making the wealthy more wealthy, and disregarding the common good, while making a mess of more scope than ever before. To think that Trump has actually had a positive influence on the country requires a shocking degree of disconnect from reality. US media supports such a condition of ignorance, and that's only worse on the right now (conservative side), but not completely different.
It's easy for the liberal half of US media to accurately portray Trump as making one bad decision after another, and exercising horrible judgment based mainly on self-interest, because that is really happening. But if Biden was elected and he supported unnecessary involvement in foreign conflict, or unrealistic military expense (more of the same), didn't address climate change, etc., the liberal media would give him a pass. Neither side is going to bring up a wealth gap, or deficit, unless it supports their current narrative, and the wealthy owners of media outlets don't want the disproportionate wealth divide becoming a main story. The US will face further decline if either candidate wins, but the damage to the country from Trump being re-elected will take decades to recover from, if that's ever even possible.
Hello everyone!

The Trump administration's perfidy will cause historians to rate it as more dastardly by a factor of 100 compared to previous presidential scandals including Teapot Dome, Grant's grifters, Monicagate and Watergate.
The administration's disastrously inadequate response to covid will be the number-one issue deciding the election .. unless Biden wins legitimately and Trump tries to steal the election. One disturbing scenario is Trump declaring some state results illegitimate .. and GOP-majority legislatures in those states forwarding slates of electors in defiance of the public will. If neither candidate reaches 270 electoral votes by a date certain due to conflicting slates of electors (see the 1876 election), the final decision could be made by a vote of the states (one vote per state delegation) in Congress.

Another health-related issue affecting the presidential election is getting tremendous publicity at the U.S. Senate's Supreme Court confirmation hearings that are being televised this week.
That issue is the potential repeal of Obamacare a.k.a. the Affordable Care Act, which protects tens of millions of USA persons with pre-existing conditions. To the extent that seniors are especially at health-related risks, this is a matter of high concern to Expats, as seniors and soon-to-be seniors make up a disproportionately high percentage of Expats. Many seniors/prospective Expats decide whether to live, or continue to live, in their original countries or move abroad based on health care concerns such as pre-existing conditions coverage.
Democratic senators have been seeking to apply maximum political pain at the hearings by focusing on GOP hypocrisy: Trump and Republicans want a justice who will help repeal the act (the Supreme Court hears the case next week) even though Trump and the GOP have not proposed a bill to replace it.
The likely result, as various observers see it, is that conservative Amy Coney Barrett will be seated on the high court .. and then Trump and incumbent GOP senators will be wiped out on November 3rd in a blue tsunami, punished by voters over the Republicans' health care hypocrisy. That will flip the Senate into Democrats' hands .. and they will control the presidency and both houses of Congress starting in January.

The Trump Administration's efforts to corrupt the U.S. Department of Justice are highlighted by this week's news that a second long-tenured federal prosecutor has resigned in protest.
After 36 years in the department, prosecutor Phillip Halpern announced his resignation in a newspaper op-ed. He cited the corrupt maneuvers by Trump hand-picked toady and attorney general William Barr in dispensing favors to convicted Trump enablers Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn .. Barr's misrepresentations to the public announcing the Mueller Report findings .. the tear gassing of peaceful protesters in Lafayette Square near the White House .. and Barr's supporting of Trump-ordered attacks on Portland protesters who had gathered against the George Floyd police killing.
The resignation comes on the heels of Justice's decision not to take any action in the matter Trump calls Obamagate, a concocted attempt to pursue Barack Obama for phony Trump claims that the then-president and his VP Biden "spied" on Trump's 2016 campaign.
Weeks ago, a different federal prosecutor resigned as deputy to the U.S. attorney investigating the so-called origins of the Mueller investigation that had found no provable collusion but ten examples of demonstrable obstruction of justice by Trump. This week the "origins" investigation was concluded after no significant wrongdoing was found related to the special prosecutor's investigation of Trump.
These two prosecutor resignations show that career Justice prosecutors do not wish to be complicit in Trump's attempts to politicize and weaponize the department against his political foes.
But what would stop Trump in a second term from firing top Justice appointees and replacing them with acting lackeys who would arrest, prosecute and attempt to jail "Crooked Hillary," Obama and Biden?
What would stop Trump from firing Chris Wray, the director of the FBI (part of the Justice Department) who has refused under oath to corroborate Trump's conspiracy theories?
----
Meanwhile, Trump is expanding his Covid Superspreader Rally Tour to include visits to battleground states .. for rallies every single day through November 3rd. The MAGA hatters demonstrate no social distancing and few Trumpers have been wearing masks except for those stationed behind Trump for the primary TV camera-shot.

I am not a USA person and thus can only comment on the second question:
Trump has done a tremendous job in correcting the previously overblown position of his country in world politics, by showing others that the USA is not the reliable partner and force for the good that they previously believed. This was overdue.
He also made sure, by his actions at home, that the conservative (and from a foreign standpoint often difficult to fathom or even comical - look at the weapons or abortion discussions!) political block remains unvoteable by any intelligent person for years to come. That, in my personal opinion, is welcome.
Although now weakened, divided and confused, the USA are still a great country and will recover. Democracy, tolerance, peace and human values, which were already on the retreat in many places independently from Trump, will survive the temporary blip and bounce back, hopefully stronger than before.
My belief into the best of humankind is unbroken. However, I wish that people would stop mixing politics with emotional overreaction, which are incompatible.
With 17 days to go before the presidential election, Trump is gaslighting about covid in perverse ways.
The worst of it, at an NBC-TV town hall held last night: he floated a falsehood that 85 percent of mask wearers "catch" the coronavirus.
That phony number is out of thin air .. and potentially persuades millions of NBC viewers into thinking that masks are worse than worthless and cause disease, when the opposite is the truth.
Despite the solid work of fact checkers to debunk this falsehood, the checkers do not have the platform of a U.S. president.
Trump is also telling rallies that people will soon be provided with the experimental drug cocktails (not currently approved for public use) that enabled him to recover his energy after being hospitalized .. and, supposedly -- according to Trump -- such pharmaceutical cocktails will be provided for free.
----
It's horrendous enough that Trump has ridiculed mask wearers.
It rises to a new level of outrage that he spreads the fiction that most masks wearers get covid, which is false and antithetical to the truth and a massive disservice to public health.
cccmedia
It is a scientific fact, although seldom mentioned in the current panic, that wearing a mask does hardly help in preventing YOU from getting infected (it reduces the risk only slightly). But if you are infected, wearing a mask reduces the risk to OTHERS quite a bit.
Thus, from a scientific standpoint, only those infected need to wear a mask.
(The problem, however, is that many people don't know they are infected - especially in the fist few days, before symptoms kick in but when they are already infectious - and thus the mask wearing rule must apply to all to have an effect and be enforceable.)
This was probably what he meant, in his as usual difficult to interpret words. I usually assume, in his favour, that he is not evil, just dumb.
Trump took his Covid Superspreader Rally Tour to Wisconsin and Michigan this weekend.
He verbally attacked Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich.) today at a rally in western Michigan, only a week after right-wing extremists were arrested by the FBI for a politically-motivated conspiracy to kidnap the governor.
Trump whipped up the Michigan crowd with Whitmer as his target until the Trumpers started chanting "Lock her up," and then Trump said "Lock 'em all up"....
Gov. Whitmer tweeted later that Trump's rhetoric is endangering her, her family and other officials he has been targeting .. and is "inciting domestic terrorism."
Joe Biden responded that Trump's "failed response to the pandemic" has crushed Wisconsin's economy as the state has lost 150,000 jobs during the covid months.
The Trump rhetoric creates a deflection from his disastrous failure to curb the covid pandemic, which is on the rise in most of the U.S. The total number of U.S. covid-infected persons surpassed eight million this weekend. For months, this total has been increasing by one million approximately every 20 days.
The FBI arrested more than a dozen suspects a week ago in the alleged plot against Gretchen Whitmer. The FBI says the plotters discussed possibly kidnapping the Democratic governor of Virginia as well.

Meanwhile Biden Email LEAK Shows Evidence Joe Biden LIED About Ukraine Dealings were NOT reported by all left leaning media and banned from twitter and facebook.
While for 4 years Fake stories about Trump and Russia by Hillary created by Hillary known by Biden and Obama were spread by facebook, Twitter and left leaning media never once being banned all 100% fake, now we hear it was a Hillary idea to stop Trump and Biden was the one getting paid money - the utter hypocrisy of the left spreading a fake story and them actually doing what they said Trump was doing!
I dont hear any mention of that story while the laptop of Hunter Biden is on Rudy Giuliani desk while he tells the story of crooked Biden family,,, and not a whisper from anyone on the left.
Obviously the left dont believe it so go look for yourself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LuSpHJNPe0&t=1055s
Hunter didnt go back to collect his laptop from repair for a year so the repair guy looked at it when he heard about Hunter and Joe saying they had nothing to do with any crooked payments to them,, when the repairman saw what was on the laptop he handed it over along with the signed receipt for the laptop received for repair , when the story broke over the last few days Hunters stupid lawyer even called to get the laptop back proving it's Hunter's laptop what a dope.
It has photos of crack smoking Hunter, sex scenes many which are illegal and all the emails between him and the crooks setting up the money deals for him and his dad Joe Biden.
So far all we hear is chirp, chirp, chirp from the left media.
google and find out yourself take the blue pill for once, while your on google try sitting through the tens of videos where Trump disavows the KKK white supremacist and it NEVER gets reported by the leftist hacks, maybe they never get out of their bubble to view actual videos of him saying what they dont actually want to report.
beppi wrote:However, I wish that people would stop mixing politics with emotional overreaction, which are incompatible.
It seems, from the posts above and the general direction of the discussion in general, that both sides are incapable (or unwilling) to follow my above wish.
Maybe it helps to remember that this is not a fight of the free world against the forces of evil, as projected by the hyperventilating media - but just of two rich, old, white guys in one country, while the majority of the world is poor (42% of the world population have less than US$5.50/day by PPP), young (54% are less than 30 years old), coloured (approx. 80%), female (51%) and live outside of the USA (96%). By right, these two blokes can thus claim to represent 0.1% of the world - but unfortunately:
It's fact that one side can say and do anything and is helped by the big tech and media, the other is called vile names , bashed, killed, shouted down, banned, & censored by what they call the "tolerant".
One celebrity can say vile things towards Trump,, meanwhile US Press Sec gets banned for posting a breaking news story about corruption against the Biden family, how is that fair, unbiased or void of emotion? it's not it gets people angry because they cant have their say or read ALL news stories from left and right.
Maybe if both sides where allowed equal time on Twitter, Facebook, numerous media outlets people with different views could comment and not feel they are WRONG, EVIL etc
It is said because they have no arguments for what they do only to stop people making comments and there lays the emotion for many trying to counter a 1 sided view point.
Since when where Twitter and Facebook a media outlet only allowing 1 side of a public news story?
Oh I remember,,, since they started.
beppi wrote:I think I unsubscrbe from this discussion now. It has lost its point.
The point was to say how you feel about election, I think everyone got the point that America is divided.
beppi wrote:I think I unsubscrbe from this discussion now. It has lost its point.
HI Beppi,
For my part, this discussion perfectly demonstrates the inability of many people to look at and/or assess a situation/person in a neutral and impartial manner.
That's why I don't see the point of this style of discussion at all...
The unsubstantiated canard about any emails that Hunter Biden supposedly wrote is not equivalent to years of corruption, self-dealing and covid deaths attributable to Trump.
The both-sidesism inherent in trying to make such a comparison is akin to saying that causing 100,000-plus unnecessary covid deaths is equivalent to Barack Obama wearing the wrong-color suit in the West Wing.

The linked Youtube video is the rantings of discredited Russian stooge Rudy Giuliani. No actual evidence is shown. Accepting as fact Giuliani's biased take because a laptop is sitting on his desk is hardly a "neutral and objective way" of assessing a person/situation.
----
Trump and his horrendous record are on the ballot in this election. Hunter Biden is not.
Hunter Biden has apologized for his substance abuse and his poor decision in legally accepting compensation as a Burisma board member. Trump has apologized for nothing -- not for his 30,000 documented lies and misleading statements, not for his subservience to Putin, not for inciting right-wingers to take up arms, not for slow-walking covid testing to keep the death count artificially low.
Hunter's supposed sexual history has nothing to do with the merits of the candidates. Nor does his attorney's attempt to recover Hunter's laptop. Nor does media "chirping" from a so-called "bubble."
