Hullo guys

When i check the expat portal it says:

Legal Status
Valid Employment Visa

Monthly Fees
Not Paid, Subject to work permit cancellation

Does this mean, i have to leave the country?

XTang

Visa valid.

Employer hasn't paid monthly fees for all visas on their CR.  If they don't pay within two months, all visas on their CR get cancelled.

It's not about your visa. Read the sticky that I have posted explaining exactly this issue before private messaging.

Can this stop me from exiting bahrain?

XTang

No

wrong even if six months not pay lmra monthly fees visa will not be canceled

XTang

In the past. Now after fees are overdue for two months, they enforce it.   Overdue not due.  Had it happen to a few of our ancillary CRs and client services lmra advised us that they have changed. And especially for smaller CRs with less employees. Big companies they are more flexible.

And lastly, forget this year - I am speaking of the rule prior to covid.  Due to covid they won't cancel and already gave waiver.

no I am agent since more than 3 years and they cancel within two months in one case only if cr deleted by law

if active cr no matter how many visas. monthly fees not paid will not be canceled

XTang

CR deleted by law, CR liquidated and some other cases.

And as I was saying, we had some of our active ancillary CRs deleted in the recent past.  Also they sent email in advance warning of deletion before it was done.

This is due to objections raised by Audit bureau from time to time. When that happens, they go and start enforcing. It's a matter of luck of where you land at that time.  Just like the inspections that happened to target shell companies in 2019 due to the fatca pressure but many shell companies were set up after that and are still functioning - it's all about timing and your luck.  The rule exists (check lmra announcement about this on their blog on the website) but enforcement is another matter.
