Hello Expats,
Greetings ! My son is just over 3 years old. He goes to a kindergarten since 1st September 2020.
Yesterday I found out that my son was bitten by another kid in his chest  and  my son  had deep bite marks and it was really hurting for him.
None from kindergarten informed that my son was bitten when he  was picked up yesterday evening. Today morning when my wife asked the care taker in kindergarten if they know about it. We just got a reply that they don't know. Also we were told that they will take care.
I could not understand how it can go unnoticed when a kid cries in front of care takers. Does anyone have such a similar experience ? Since I am new to the child care system in Germany . Can anyone please let me know how should one take this incident and how should one react to it?

Thank you
Best regards
Kaarthik

Maybe you have false expectations. Not nice that this happened and one would normally expect the adults there to take care but kids run around screaming all of the time. It's not necessarily easy to know what is serious or what is just play.

If the child doesn't specifically tell someone in charge then it can easily happen that they won't know. Maybe inquire why your child didn't mention it if it was that serious. Not to blame your child but if they are too shy or don't feel that they can trust the supervision then it is something to address. They should know that it is OK to say something.
