Hi I am looking to move to Dubai. I am cost accountant by profession and legal practitioner now what are the possibilities of getting job in legal sector?

The market is doing really badly with layoffs and redundancies across the Board.  It wasn't doing well even before Covid but that obviously made it worse.  There are a lot of people present in the market who have lost jobs and are looking.  So the supply of talent far outstrips the demand.

As far as your profession is concerned, you are allowed to practice law in the UAE but ONLY local i.e. UAE national lawyers are allowed to appear in court.   So essentially, you are a legal consultant only which severely limits your options.  You can find jobs in foreign legal firms as they do need lawyers to do research, write briefs and advise on corporate law but again, their preference is for foreign qualified lawyers i.e. US/UK/Canada with corporate law experience.   So it really depends on your skill set.
