Renewal of self sponsored visa

Why would you be stuck and unable to travel?

I think you have been misinformed.  Being stuck and unable to travel ONLY applies for work and family visas i.e. when you apply and then leave the country, the process starts again.  For these visas, the process is much shorter i.e. within a month and that is why, this is the case.

For self sponsored visas, after you have applied (whether from inside or outside the country), you can travel as you like.  Your entry and exit from the country is on the basis of your CURRENT visa and has NOTHING to do with the self sponsored visa.  When the SS visa is approved, they will tell you and ask you to cancel your current visa so this one can be issued.

@XTang

But my current residence permit has expired; hence my worry.

I would advise you to NOT stay beyond 30 days after permit expiry.  As if that happens, you are deemed as being in the country illegally.  The self sponsorship visa can take a lot of time.  Better to leave and then apply for a visit visa and come in/out appropriately.

@XTang

Thank you for the warning.

@XTang here in bahrain if women deportation there not staying permanent  in the shelter, every week they will transfer to another deportation station is that true? the police men there they will not touch women lady?

@Othman Othman:  You should have never used an agent for this as it is not required.  Even SS section will tell you to apply yourself.   Are you sure that the agent applied?  did you get a file number?   if you did, then just to make sure that the agent is telling you the truth, email them.
