Hello there! Wanted to check if any of you has recently made an INTERNATIONAL travel via air from Malaysia to another or your home country. I'm specifically looking for Malaysia to India country. There are a lot of mixed updates from general public around obtaining mandatory approvals from Malaysia immigration before booking flight tickets, to mandatory perform a Covid swab test and carry negative certificate before entering airport premises, carry face masks, plastic transparent head shield, sanitizers, cabin baggage not allowed.

It's very confusing to make any decisions to travel to home country from Malaysia or not and what process to follow. Wanted to gain information on what's the current actual requirement for international travel with all SOPs being gradually being lifted in Malaysia. Thanks much.

Hi, I recently come across this website, Tracvirus' SafeTravelPass https://safetravelpass.tracvirus.com.my
they provide screening tests, quarantine, and other services guidelines for Travelers entering or out of Malaysia. Can try to ask them about the latest SOP. Best of luck and stay safe.

Hi Vidya... here is the answer for your questions:-

(1) If you are travelling to India and intend to stay for more than 60 days OR not sure for exact date of return, then YOU NO NEED TO APPLY FOR EXIT & RE-ENTRY PERMISSION from Immigration Malaysia.

(2) Actually Exit & Re-Entry permission is required for those who would get it being in Malaysia and cud  come back without applying outside Malaysia for re_entry. But even you dont apply, you can process while in India once you finalise the return and this process takes 5 days. Here is the link if you hilding EP fr9m ESD: https://myentry.myxpats.com.my/app/

(3) You need RT-PCR COVID 19 Test report and the best hodpital is Pantai Hospital and you can fix appointment online snd requestthem to give you the same next day. Remember, the airlines need this report of 96 hours old max, so do this test 2 days b4 departure and muwt inform the hospital for hard copy collection. Here is the link: https://www.pantai.com.my/COVID-19-On-S … g-Services

(4) The safety measures are not required by Imkigration Malaysia except Face Mask. Fqce cover etc is not required but you must chexk the airline requirement and Indian Immigration or arrival airport requirements at destination, at KLIA you just need to wear face mask and for boarding pass, you need the test report mentioned at para 3.

Have a good days..Shahid
