To All,

The global moderators seem to follow certain messages, I personally have the experience that people tend to post without being spotted.
I personally continue to follow this forum and in general with great interest, some of the posts are (I think not genuine at all). Also yesterday I received a PERSONAL message from somebody with (possibly interesting) porn items. I deleted straightaway (just a shame that through personal messages on the forum this can happen), Unless these posts are really linked to Hungary (which I doubt), these posters should be blocked (not per se for USERID but more from IP (and if possible report to local police by expat.com (supposed to be global I think)

What in my view is more dangerous are those items creating an interesting story for moving to Hungary, not asking for support straightaway, relatively well informed.
I have to admit I have been scammed for EUR 300 (luckily not too much), bad experience , I have to say (even if I am already suspicious people can be incredible clever and manupulating).
Support only for people I know in the future.

My message, good to be friendly, but CAREFUL in support and contacts with new

Fred

The way to dump these thieves is to report the PM, but NOT delete it.
You can also copy/paste to anyone with a light bulb like mine, or a spanner on their avatar.
They can all ban the offender for you

Remember to add a link to the scammer's profile page so we can get directly to it.

Wow, never occurred to me that there might be scammers in these forums. Especially looking for monetary gain.  Maybe this kind of cautionary tales need to be more visible.   Outright reject requests for money and grounds for summary deletion.

People ask me all the time to be a personal contact but I reject nearly everyone who is not a regular poster and has a track record of multiple posts and full engagement.

We've had trolls in the Hungary forum before but we eventually called BS on one of them - guy posting a picture of "himself" with a wombat or something and saying he was Australian and disabled.  As soon as he was sussed, he disappeared sharpish.

I 100% agree. I get new FB buddy messages all the time but just hit delete.
I sometimes too PM a very few select people here but my husband is always warning me of scammers.
I know for a fact that some outside "trolls" are viewing these sites and will inform the powers that be if we are not following the official programs.

I am not all that interesting so say a ton of iffy things here at times.
Hate to get too personal or express my true feelings on some subjects because I don't want that dreaded knock on the door... For real.
It is a shame we can't trust everyone.
My husband is always on me to not keep my FB page open, not to over share ect.
Sort of puts a damper on my expression but he knows best.
I never open anything from anyone I do not know.
A few months back by mistake I opened up a message from one of my cousins.
She never sent the message, her site was hacked.
We had a heck of a time cleaning all the BS out of our system.
All I can say is too those who mess with honest people, may you burn baby burn and you know where!
I am glad these scammers look into my page they realize they are not getting very far, have younger single friends who have men after them all the time for money or other odd things.
We used to have a personal VPN and are looking into purchasing another VPN system.

We did have a few over the last couple of days, but I have been told that they were dealt with. When you have a website of this nature you will always have attacks from spammers etc...

Dealt with, what does it mean, clearly this type of ("private") message has no link with Hungary forum, there should be a bonus for police to put these type of guys behind bars.
To be paid by the UN as far as I am concerned.
