Hi Everyone,

I arrived in Belgium last September and while I was born in Belgium I have lived abroad for most of my life. I am back here for work and am looking to meet expats and English speakers/communities around Liege.

I look forward to hearing from you! :)

Hello everyone!

My name is Kevin, I'm currently living in the US.  My partner is currently a US Citizen but she is Belgian, born in France to a Belgian mother.  We visited Belgium in 2019 (my very first time in Europe) to attend the F1 Belgian GP.  I immediately fell in love with the country and Europe in general.  Outside of Belgium I've stayed in China for 4 weeks for an English summer program when I was in highschool and have been to the Philippines multiple times.

We are planning to either expat or move outright to Belgium.  I joined to learn more about the whole process as it is very overwhelming.  She has family in the Flemish region.  I have 5 years experience in manufacturing/technology/automotive and also new found experience in social media and digital marketing.

Currently doing research on the expat/visa process, casually looking for jobs in Belgium.  I only speak English, but gradually learning Dutch (will eventually transition to Flemish).  My partner understands some Flemish, doesn't remember much French anymore.

I also have many friends throughout Europe as a result of my Certified High Performance Coaching program as my colleagues that I am friends, with are spread out from UK, NL, Germany, Switzerland, and more.

Open to any help or referrals and vice versa.

Thank you for having me here!

- Kevin

Hallo!
My name is Richard and I am an older retiree currently living in Arizona.   I will be travelling to Brussels very soon to meet a woman that I have been communicating with via internet.   Provided that all goes as well as I hope, I will also be looking at the possibility of moving to Belgium.  She loves her country and I suspect that i will too.  Sadly, I have no real attachment to continuing to live in the U.S. and have been researching a move abroad for some time.
I would love to meet some other ex-pats while there.  Are there any places they hangout in Brussels?
Thanks!
Richard

Maria Nikolopoulou

Hello all!

I'm Maria. I'm looking into moving to Brussels next summer hoping to get a job until fall 2022.
I am a teacher with a master in educational psychology. I have experience with teaching, shadow teaching, and private tutoring. Unfortunately I don't speak Belgium's native languages but I plan to get started on one of them as soon as I get there.
My question is if I stand a chance working in any sector even as a part time employee until I get the required level of the native languages. Another question if anyone knows...

What's the requested qualifications to work in an international school there?

Thank you for any info you may have to offer!

Have a good day!
