Addresses - or lack of, in Rincon?

Post new topic

Hi.  We rented a house in Rincon for a couple months.  It does not seem to have an address.  Not anywhere written physically or online.  The "address" we were given is just a km marker and road.  It works - the house is located right there.  But that's not good enough for the post office... So how do we get a package?  I can't imagine a house just not having an address!

Have you tried asking your postmaster?  I wonder if they would have that info on file.  Or perhaps the owner of the house has a deed with the physical address.

The owner just gave us the road marker "address" that we have.  But yea we'll have to track him down and ask I guess.. just seems odd that it wouldn't be on any maps or anything online?

Hello.  You need to get a po box then you need to sign a paper at the post office to have them hold your packages.  When you order items you have to put your name, the post offices address  then add unit #
The unit number is the number on your po box
The at rincon pr and 00677

Okay thanks everyone.  I am familiar with how po boxes work.  It just seemed odd that we have no other choice.  Most of the other houses in the area have mailboxes and addresses!

Not odd, just the way it is here. My suggestion to people before they move here is 1. Make sure you move where you have access to a mail box for the place and 2nd make sure that you have access to liberty internet  not just confirmed on the phone.  Proof that the current residence has it or by having an appointment where liberty comes and meets you at the address and verify it. Don't sign a contract with the landlord until it's confirmed

very good suggestion!
