Why cant i get a realtor to call me back here? I am interested in looking at some listing but no one gets back to me. Why??

They will only reply when you are here and prove you are serious. They dont want to wastr time on dreamers

I am here. What doI have to do send my gps coordinates geez.. where I am from in Ct they assume everyone is a potential buyer..

Too many people come here on vacation and want to see what is available and never buy. They spent days showing houses and never make a sale. What and where are you looking?

GreenCaribbean

What area? Local realtors are not like stateside realtors for certain.

We like the rio grande area. Most interested in one of the condo next to the Wyndham. Are you familiar with that area? I like it because it seems to be pretty quiet here.  Nothing fancy. Clean, safe and the weather is beautiful. Is there anywhere else comparable to here? We are staying in Palmas Del Mar for the first time next month, we went and had lunch there the other day and I’m already regretting that we didn’t just stay here (rio grande) longer.
And info you can give would be great. Or a reportable realtor you know that will return calls. We may not buy tomorrow but we’d like to see what’s out there  and are definitely interested..

Rio Grande. I see that!🤷🏻‍♀️

I too would like to know the answer! We just relocated from DC and have been looking for a house for 2 months and it's very competitive with little inventory. I've tried everything and what I noticed is I get more responses when I communicate in Spanish ONLY and have several realtors assisting me in contacting other realtors. It's very frustrating as two attorneys with all the boxes checked who can't seem to get anyone to take our money for housing. LOL!!! We're not giving up though. We just hired someone exclusively to work with us and hopefully we'll get out of our short term rental soon. Good Luck!

Realators dont like to show properties that are listed with other realators then they have to split commission.

I guess half isn’t better then nothing?? What percent do they get here? I’m blown away. The money someone could make who actually wanted to work down here!

Same to you. Let me know if you find anyone familiar with rio grande area. What area are you looking at?

Work? Hahahahaha welcome to pr

That is one of the mayor problems in Puerto Rico most don't call back, one of the main reasons is most of the time the property has been sold but the listing is still active. FYI properties in Puerto Rico are very affordable compare to all the states specially compare to places like: Hawaii, California, New York, Virginia etc. You can acquire a mountain retreat and something close to the beach at a very affordable price.***

Regarding our RE experience. We decided to move to PR last September. We came down to Palmas Del Mar in early October and had no issue finding someone to show us around. There were lots of properties for rent and sale.

In January, we emailed asking for a rental of 1 year starting in April and we’re told you don’t rent things that early, wait until March. By March no one would return our calls but we did receive emails with the message you should have started sooner, there is no inventory. We contracted to buy a villa in La Jolla. We were told we could close in 30 days. Well it didn’t...

We booked an AirBNB like many of you, with no fall back plan. Then out of the blue a broker said I have a pocket listing I think you will like, we bought it the same day.

I don’t think it is lack of interest. I think many of the brokers have a list of desperate buyers, like us, and many properties don’t even hit the market. My advice ... keep calling.

Thank you. The info u provided gives me the feeling it's like Mexico - "manana, manana, manana!"

I’m living the same experience right now. We’ve come for 2-3 weeks a few times every year since 2007. There were always “for rent or sale” signs everywhere and lots of empty houses that say that way for years. Since my husband retired from USPS last year in April we finally moved full time to the area. Things did not work out due to family issues and we left and are having a terrible time finding a rental house, nothing fancy just 2-3 beds and the ability to have air inverter. We cannot find anything and there’s no signs now and if they are they are already taken.

Hi!  Call Otoniel or his mom Tammi,  they have an agency in Fajardo.  He's the listing an agent on my condo.  They have a website with listings and contact information.  https://www.tlrealty.com
Oh and yes be patient, it's Island time not Stateside time there  ;) .  Although I need to practice what I preach  :D .  I don't understand what takes them so long to respond.

Yes they have a few apartments left at Hillside Village in Rio Grande. They are being renovated prices range from 165 to 275k.

I worked for a realtor here. I came to find the ones who are here like to deal with people here.  They got so many people from the states calling. Not serious buyers. So unless your here they are not going to do much.  Sad but true.
