Hello! Im planning on getting a Visa D for 3 years in Ukraine, residence permit. I just wonder, is there anything I should look out for when using one of these companies? The one company I have been in touch with will take a payment of 1800 USD, is this reasonable? If anyone wants to share a company they used to me, feel free.

That price is a tad steep. I'm going through a similar process and the price range I keep hearing is between $1300 and $1500.

I have used Justicon. I live in Lviv, and they are in Kiev. They were great and reasonably priced.

I think $1800 for 3 years is pretty good. Once I was offered $4000 for 3 years but that was from my scam law firm so no big news. Keep in mind what grounds you will get you TRP. If you open a business there may be some obligations with reporting taxes and stuff and my golden point in UA is to avoid bureaucracy.
