HI all, Another week with a loads of time practicsing and job hunting. All total been 8 months without job I know my sector is the most simple sector where paid and pressure is less compare to other professional job. I am now kind of evaluating or finding what lacks me that i applied 20 places and not even get selected for an interview. I speak good amount of english. I had scored C1 in test of english and had a 4 years of experience in customer service but most of the time i am messeged that the profile is not selected means other candidates are more valuable and stronger but I imagine those who are valued also were fresher in the past
I am not getting jealous but what is stopping me to start doing jobs ..please share some stories guys!!!

FYI.

After being part of a mass redundancy, my colleagues and I attended a couple of (company paid for) private courses at which we polished our CVs etc.

I recall the first thing the Employment Consultant said to us all

"Your next job will come via someone you already know".

Sad but true.   Everyone that I kept in touch with had found jobs through colleagues, former colleagues or contacts/previous networking individuals.

Cold calling or taking your chances upon advertised positions are most certainly possible yet it tends to be a numbers game.

My suggesting is spending most of your time contacting those you may already know and asking if they are aware of any vacancies.  A word of support from them to a potential employee may be worth 50x applications.

Good luck and best wishes.
