Mauritius will be fully open to Vaccinated travellers as from 1 October 2021, but in the mean time Emirates flights to Mauritius via Dubai resumed this week.

(a 2 week quarantine upon arrival in Mauritius is currently applicable until 30 September 2021 - the cost of accomodation during these 2 weeks will be for your own account)

Emirates restarts services to Mauritius via Dubai

Emirates will deploy its Airbus A380 to the island nation from August.

Emirates will restart passenger services to Mauritius with two weekly flights from July 15, as the nation gradually reopens its borders to international tourists.

Flight EK 701 will depart Dubai on Thursdays and Saturdays at 02h35 and arrive in Mauritius at 09h10. The return flight EK 704 will operate on Fridays and Sundays, and will depart Mauritius at 23h10 and arrive in Dubai at 05h45 the following day.


From July 15 the route will be served by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, and from August 1, by an A380.

What happens to the traveller who have not vaccinated at all. Are they now barred from Mauritius?

Those who are not vaccinated will still be able to come to Mauritius provided they follow the protocole set up (undergoing PCR, showing negative results and a mandatory quarantine of 14 days in one of the approved hotels).
