My entry pass to Malaysia was rejected. Reason:
MALAYSIA GOVERNMENT IS CURRENTLY IMPLEMENTING MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (HIGH RISK COUNTRY FOR COVID).
I applied under category : PERMISSION TO ENTER MALAYSIA (SPOUSE OF MALAYSIAN / RESIDENCE PASS)

Any idea how long such restrictions last?

Thank you

At least for couple of years. I have the same problem, but they would not give the approval and now they say if they do not reply to the request in 14 days that mean no approval.... haha just crazy

What would you do

Has been applying for entry pass to Malaysia since more than 6 months now but every time Malaysia immigration keeps on rejecting.

I am foreigner and my wife and children are Malaysian. If the truth is to be told, Malaysia immigration do not treat foreigners fairly and always look down on foreigners even if you are a professional and contributing to Malaysia economy and society.

Every time when come to dealing with Malaysia Immigration, they will never let you feel that Malaysia is a better place to live.

Have your wife go to Immigration office with your marriage documents and raise hell. I think you’re no applying as married to Malaysian citizen with children’s who needs you in the country to take care of them. Their website say people with family can apply for re-enter. Are you fully vaccinated and with what vaccine brand? What country?

What would you do

I have been vaccinated and even gave them copy of my certificate as a proof along with my application. In my letter that i attached to the application, I highlighted that I need to be with my wife and children but you think they care.

And i need to be careful revealing more of myself here because if you criticise them, you are in deepshi*t and you will be thrown out of country.

Sindebad

Really they throw people out of the country? So far I’ve been here two years and they treat me very well if I have any issues. I’m just waiting for my vaccine appointment now the system is not working very well due to shortage of vaccine. But they just received additional Pfizer vaccine donated by the US Astrazeneca  donated by Japan so hopefully the system will improve.

I am sorry for the situation you are in and I have helped expatriates to successfully obtain MyEntry . I run my own immigration advisory co and if you would like my assistance, you can reach out to me via my mobile  60125083182. I can’t share my website and LinkedIn profile (where my clients gave  good testimonies) here without being taken down but I can share once you reached out to me via mobile.  you have tried for 6months and your Approval Letter might have expired by now as the validity of Approval Letter from Mdec/ ESD is 6months…

Here is my concern to "What would you do"

Why would Malaysia will throw you out from the country if you are tax payer, holding legal visa and respect the country's law.

I am here from last 10 years, during the month of Nov 2020 i had applied Traveling Permission because of some personal work in Turkey, after almost 5 months, in April 2021 i had applied my Entry to Malaysia and it was approved.

I got my 1st Vaccine (AZ)  in month of May 2021 (PWTC) and just 2 days before i have confirmed my 2nd vaccine appointment on 19 July.

About Kovu01, This is the case of "SPOUSE OF MALAYSIAN" Probably Malaysia has kept some countries under Hold. I am very confident that Kovu01 will get permission very soon.  just keep applying.

i just got rejected on my travel pass application. The same reason as you.
Can you advice, what should i do next? Should i keep applying?
My husband is Malaysian. We wanna move back to Malaysia for good.Everything is all set we're so ready to move but my travel pass got denied.I really don't know what to do.
Best

I was rejected three months ago on my first try. My wife is Malaysian.
I reapplied and I included a copy of the SPA for a house purchase and I was approved.

ouiusa

Thank you for quick reaching out. I just got my result yesterday.Do you think I should wait or I can re apply right away.
Thank you so much for your time

Kovu01

When I applied, it was right away without waiting.
Also my wife called the embassy and talked to them in Malay.
Have your husband talk to them. It looks like if the caller is speaking Malay they are more willing to make suggestions that may help the approval process.
Best wishes to you

Thank you so much for sharing.
My husband haven’t talk to the embassy in Malaysia yet.We spoke to the Malaysia consulate in New York. They recommended us to write the letter that mention we would like to move there for good.Which we did but no luck T-T
We both are in USA now we’re plan to move there together after I get approved.
The number to call is on the MTP website right? I’ll re apply today and will have my husband call them.
Thanks again for your time.
Best

Kovu01

I stand corrected on one thing, I sked my wife and my wife did not call the Embassy but called New York consulate . However she faxed an appeal later to Malaysian immigration here in Malaysia explaining that we are planning to retire here and providing them with a copy of the SPA.
I would imagine it will help if you send them any documents regarding your finances something to prove that you will be able to support yourselves while residing in Malaysia.
best of luck to you

You’re very helpful.
Thank you so much, I’m very appreciated.
