Greetings! Has anyone here extended their tourist visa at the BI office in SM Aura Taguig CIty? Just curious to know what your experience was like in terms of wait times etc? I'll be heading there next week most likely so just wanted to get the heads up :-)

Thank you in advance and have a great day!

yes.  I  went there 1 month ago. Very fast transaction.  Less than 1 hour. No crowded.

Thank you...do you know what the overstay fees are?

Long winded but I arrived back here this time in mid March 2020 by the skin of my teeth on the standard 30day visa, contacted our local immi office in SFC La union via FB, sorry sir office closed, asked about over stay fees and they said there won't be any because of C-19,,,, updated a couple of months later said they would reopen in July from memory, rechecked yep they reopened in July, my passport was stamped 15th March so I went so I went in on the 7th July to renew and pay etc. Ah sir you have overstayed as we reopened on the 1st of July and you should have come in then,,,,,,,, Ok, no arguments with immi from me, how much for that Ma'am?

So looking at the receipt as I type, looks like:  extension fine                        1,000
                                                                                 motion for reconsideration    500
1 extra express lane fee          500
Also this one that never appeared before:      Visa waiver application fee  1,000

So probably PHP 3K in fines and fees.
That visit cost me PHP 12,703 but included the ACR card and for some reason an ECC of 700 pesos even though I wasn't going anywhere. Hey opportunity knocks here.

Only my experience and an innocent oversight (apparently) on my behalf cost pesos.

I would not recommend overstaying your visa.

Cheers, Steve.
