Hello,
I am going to be visiting Norway and meeting relatives for the first time.  I've been emailing with three cousins who have helped quite a bit in the planning of our trip.  Does anyone have suggestions for gifts that I could bring, keeping in mind size and weight?  I have read that alcohol is a great gift (is that true), and I will probably bring some, but I'd like ideas for other less heavy items.  I have four cousins middle-aged whom I'll be meeting - two males, two females.  Also may have dinner at a son's house.
Thanks
Terri Cook

A bottle of wine is great for dinner parties and so. For your relatives whiskey or cognac, or something from your home country.

you can buy alcohol at the duty free on the way in to Norway (at least in Oslo Gardermoen) so you don't have to haul it from your originating country. The prices are much cheaper there than in the state monopoly stores within the country.

don’t forget cigarettes too... extremely high prices!!!
