Hello,

I am credentialed to teach special education in California.

I would love to live somewhere like Santa Teresa. Beach, jungle, slow paced life.

Is there a job market for teachers in Costa Rica?

I would love to hear your insights if you have experience or knowledge.

Thanks

First of all......You can't just come into the Republic of Costa Rica and believe you can push all the qualified Costarricenses to the back of the line.Everyone who has your intentions is already here and getting blindsided by reality.

Absolutely. There are a lot of english private schools and they all need good teachers. There are 4 near Tamarindo and Flamingo in the North west. I am sure that any english speaking teacher can get a job easily. As far as Santa Theresa - there is a large community threre and probably multiple schools as well. Just call them.

You will make better money teaching English to the Chinese on-line,like my nephew. Here, you are just going to get jerked around.I hope you have access to the bank of"mommy and daddy"to get you through while you are here.
