Requirements to work as clinical psychologist in Dubai

femcdarby

Hi,

I'm from Ireland and recently completed my three year clinical psychology doctorate in a university in Dublin. I hope to work as a clinical psychologist in Dubai and I know I need a DHA license to do that. In the DHA Qualification Requirements manual it says psychologists must have two years experience post qualification in a related field. As I'm newly qualified I don't meet this criteria, however, I have three years experience working as an assistant psychologist pre-qualification. I'm wondering does this count and could this experience be used to meet this criteria? Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated.

Experience counts FROM your last training/certification.

Your question is like a Surgeon asking if his experience moonlighting as a General Practitioner counts.
