Hello everyone,

I have a question about Annexe 16.

Will I get this file when the city hall receives my application documents for D-card? According to @AlexFromBelgium27, this document "is really important as it prevent the police/immigration to expel you from Belgium, even if your current ID card expires".

Many thanks for your help in advance!

Hello

Technically, annexe16 is the document that you'll fill in and sign at the commune. It's the request to become permanent resident.
And annexe 16bis is the document they MUST give you. (acknowledgment of receipt of your request to become permanent resident)

If you don't receive it, they can say that you never did any request if they lost the file or didn't even send it for processing.

That annexe16bis will also allow you to stay in Belgium during the process, even if your current A / C card has expired.

Thanks Alex, how nice you are!
