Hey jeibel hope you had a safe fly back home 
For me it happens before that i was packing about 100 KG of over weight and i was advised to go to the cargo office ( all inside the airport) to pack them and send them on the same plane but as a postal pack and will take you only one more day to release from the destination airport.
And its also affordable cost of 1.5KD/Kg.
