Apply for bahrain work visa when living in saudi

Post new topic

I m tunisian engineer working in ksa (iqama) I got an offer from a company in Bahrain. But they told me that I have to resign, do final exit visa and they will apply for me a visit visa then traval from ksa to bahrain then convert it to work visa.
1 - Is it true that they can not process a bahraini work visa unless I do final exit?
2 - Can I get the visit visa after making final exit from ksa and   traval directly from ksa to bahrain?
3 - Is the process of conversion the visit to work visa in bahrain is without any risks?

Thank you for your help

XTang

1) They can process it. Probably just want to make sure you have resigned
2) You need visit visa before making final exit
3) No such thing as no risk. Personally I would ask them to get me a work visa before I would resign

Thank you for you reply XTang
they told me no way to process work visa in any gcc country when you still have iqama in KSA. Is this true?

XTang

Absolutely false.   Just search the threads, there are many people who moved to Bahrain and got their visa while they had their Iqama in Saudi.   We also hired a ton of employees in similar situations.

Hi XTang,
They now agree to process the work visa for me. But for my family, they propse to make a visit visa for them as it is not possible to do a dependent residence visa for them unless I get my CPR. Is it true?
Because I have to subscribe my children for school as soon as I arrive in Bahrain.

Thank you for your help.

XTang

It is possible to do a dependent visa for them but requires effort.  Most companies will bring family members on visit visas and when your visa is done, convert them to a dependent visa.

-Does the conversion of the visit visa to a dependent visa take time?
-Can I subscribe them in school when they are on a visit visa?
-I called lmra, they confirm that once my work visa is released I can process the family residence visa before coming to Bahrain. Is it really implemented?

many thanks

XTang

As I said, it is possible to get a dependent visa once your work visa has been issued and without needing to come to Bahrain.  However, most companies don't do this.......they wait for to come and sort out your process.

The conversion will take the same time as new dependent visa issuance.

You will have to talk to the schools but most of them will accept the kids if the dependent visa is in process.

Hi,

They now inform me that they cannot use the titles of "engineer", as this requires special approval from the Bahrain Authority - CRPEP (it can take up to 4-6 weeks).
They therefore suggest that I choose one from this list:

• Manager (Operations)

• Supervisor for Operations

• Technical Service Adviser

My job title in my iqama and my passport is "Project Engineer". Can this cause a problem when converting a work visa to CPR once I arrive in Bahrain?

What title should I choose?

XTang

No issue.  Get the visa profession changed when approval comes later.
