I understand that as from 1 October the island is open if you are vaccinated. In other words, no more quarantine required after 1 October for people that are vaccinated. So my question is  whatabout parents with young children? Vaccines are not being administered to anyone under the age of 12 so will families with young children still be expected to quarantine at a resort on arrival after 1 October?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jansen,

as I understand it, as from 1 October, Mauritius will only require everyone over 18 to be vaccinated before entry.

watch this video to decide which permit you need to enter Mauritius:

then read the following on the EDB website:

In line with its growing development, Mauritius opens its doors for job market to foreign students who have studied in a tertiary education institution in the country. They are eligible for a maximum 3-year Occupation Permit, depending on the duration of the contract of employment.
