Hi, I am looking for a lady named Agnetha Larson, I believe she was from Goteborg...she worked in Mallorca in 1973 /1974 and met a friend of mine, Jose. He would like to contact her, she would be in her late 50ts or early 60ts. As far as I know, it's nothing important, he would just like to have a conversion with her. Hope someone can help.
Regards
Peter

Hello, One; It cannot be Larsoon but Larsson. Two; She might had been at least 18 plus to work back then in 1973/74 which means she probably was born in mid 50s which lead us to think that now she is around her mid 60s or more..

In ninth post of this thread https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=411162 you have three websites which were best sites to seek people in Sweden, back then when I posted them, and now we have few more sites..

https://mrkoll.se/https://www.upplysning.se/person/https://www.merinfo.se/

May google translate help you! Cheers!

Hi Finnbo,  Just checked with Jose ( the man that is looking for Agnetha) and you are right...her name is Larsson...he gave it to me wrong...and again you are right...she would have been born in 1956/57 ... meaning she would be 65/67 now...He also told me she lived near the cemetery in Goteborg with her Mum and Dad.  I understand he and his wife are going to Goteborg in August (next month) and would love to meet up with her.
thanks again.

Hola Peter, There are only 15 Agnetha Larsson in Sweden right now and only 6 of them are between 61-72 years old, and only one of them is 67 years old, so I sent a text message to her with a link of this thread. And I also found a kind of perfect match in Gothenburg near a church, but 61 years old, anyway I sent the link to her too. If any response will not appear then you may can double check with remaining 4. Good luck on helping Jose!

Peter, It is strictly prohibited according to the forum code of conduct to publish any kind of contact information on the open forum. And that is the reason why I only provide members with necessary tools to find people, but not any contact information of people.

This is also a commercial forum so there is a risk that one can in accordance with GPDR to report forum for publishing their contact information without their approval.
Therefore your post will be moderated and I hope you would understand it.

However it seems like you still have not received any response from anyone, therefore I suggest you to send postcards to all of them, who are between 61-72 years old. It is not everyone who has their telephone number registered and those who have, might have numbers that are not in use anymore. They also can be little bit suspicious when an unknown person contacts them via telephone. Anyway Good luck!

Hi Finnbo, I still haven't heard anythink yet...I was thinking, if Agnetha had married would her last name
be changed...if it was then will be a lot more difficult to find her.

Did you send postcards to those from the list?

However Swedes had started this living together phenomenon somewhere around that hippie period when Agnetha was in the "right" age to be inspired by it, as many other youngsters in this region as well as else where in the world. So there is also a possibility that she never changed her surname.

If she chose the traditional way and got married properly and took her husbands surname as you thought, then it will be little bit complicated to find her but still not impossible.

There are 33287 people have Agnetha as one of given names and among them 17435 people have it as the first name to be called as, that is something called in Sweden as tilltalsnamn for instance Agnetha Åse Fältskog The first A in the pop group ABBA chose Agnetha (instead of Åse) as the name to be called as tilltalsnamn.

So firstly send postcards to the current list you have from the sites that you have found and after a while if you would not get any response, you can do the same with 17435 who has it as the tilltalsnamn so you will eventually find her if you must find her. (for Jose)

Actually one guy from a country in Africa found the person he was looking for in Sweden after so many years. He is in the other thread and since it was kind of a very sentimentally special case I had to involved but I could not find the person yet the guy did not give up until he found the person, however it took some time but it happened.
