experience applying as a partner through non Dutch partner?

Hi there,

My partner and I have sent in our application for a residence permit. He will have a rather easy route through one of the long stay visas but mine is more complicated. I have to apply through him as my sponsor because I’ve already had a residence permit in NL before. We filled the documents as much as we could and included 8mth pay of his but its not really possible for his employer to fill out the form.

I’m wondering if there are people who have experience applying through a sponsor when that sponsor has a residence permit and isn’t a national. Did you get approved? How long did it take? I’m concerned I won’t be approved though I am completely able to support myself without work for the entire duration of my stay. I’m getting nervous (they should be receiving our package tomorrow).

Any advice /thoughts at all would be helpful!

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Unless you were forced to leave the Netherlands (i.e. deported), I don't think you will encounter any problem with your current application.
