Hello , I am a senior citizen and I live in Canada. I am  heading to the Aguadilla area for December and January .
Does anyone have an idea where I can rent a car with affordable monthly rates?

I have T-mobile as a Cellular Carrier and was able to use the benefit they offer for car rental and the rate was 50% less than the average rates. They have a thing called T-mobile Tuesdays that offers these deals. If you have another Carrier they may have the same type of deal.

Where do you look for the car rental through your carrier ? I've never heard of this am

Try Charlie they have office in Aguadilla. If you are flying into San Juan look for car rentals off site, the only drawback is most are only open 9-5 & not usually on weekends. I’ve used Enterprise thru the office in Isla Verde and I’ve found it’s almost half the on site at SJU. They are strict here about using debit cards for rentals so call & ask local office about deposits etc beforehand.

With T-mobile it is found as.ampart.of the T-mobile phone app called T-mobile Tuesdays where they offer daily deals and discounts with vendors including car rentals and hotels, etc. Not sure about other phone carriers.

The car company that I used as a part of the deal with T-mobile was listed as ACE but was actually Charlie car rental. They are open 24/7 in San Juan, Isla Verde and were great.

Wondering if there is a place where I can buy a car for two months then sell it back at a lower price?

The rental agencies like Charlie and Avis etc don't even  quote on rentals over one month.
Does anyone have any experience at renting from a local or buying a used vehicle and reselling it?

Some of the car dealers in Humacao have rental cars but they are very expensive the few times I checked. We had to rent a car for 9 weeks when we moved last august as the port was backed up from Covid closures still.

Did you try charliecars.com you can book on there instead of calling for a quote. They will push you to take their insurance unless you use a credit card and not a debit card. We had full coverage on our insurance from Florida and didn’t want to have to take theirs on top. Check all the policies very well as there’s always some new loophole.
