Please submit where you got your latest pearls of wisdom from in respect of the Astra vaccine & Omicron variant & interesting to see & hear that Omicron is now rampant in the USA & Astra has not even been approved for use there.

Here is a link on the efficacy of the Astra Vaccine in the NY Times.  (Ten free articles/month)  As far as the spread of Omicron in the US, to date there have been numerically more hospitalizations among the vaccinated but that is because the vaccinated are 61% of the total.   As of 21 Dec only one person, a man who was unvaccinated, has died in the US from Omicron as reported by Forbes.    The ages are skewing a lot lower as fewer grade school children have been vaccinated as the approvals were more recent.   (Sorry no link for this.   huh.png )

If I may offer a suggestion.
The NY Times and many others have tossed up a paywall but there's a hack (What a horribly overused word - I'll spank my wrist for employing it as soon as I've finished typing this)

Quote a little of the text in your post (Opening paragraph is usually the best). Most stories like this are repeated in a lot of publications (mostly word for word) so a quick Google commonly gets you the whole piece without a subscription to anything.

Paywalls rely on people not realising most of their news content is just copy and paste to get you to buy their subscriptions.

The telephone number of the Vietnamese consulate is hardly personal information.  If you want it just look for the consulate on Google maps.  I thought this forum was moderated by people and not algorithms, but maybe not.

Probably just a simple error. I also saw the number but I checked it out before touching it. As it was a public number for a government organization, I ignored it.
However, I know the teams are exceptionally busy with a massive set of spam attacks at the moment so that's very likely  where the problem is. I banned well over 20 yesterday alone and that's just part time between real work so you can imagine the scale of the problem.

... banned for what reasons exactly?

Mostly spamming but there's usually a couple of sex pests as well. Political spam, pro/anti Trump and/or China is on the rise again as that hits the news. Anti-vax conspiracy rubbish did the same but the slowed down as the anti-vaxxers seem to have turned to new pointless crap to argue about.

The past has seen bans for links to porn, prostitution, and pretty much every other nasty you can think of. Sugar daddies/mummies are a thing on the Malaysia forum.
There was surprisingly little 5G causes covid stuff - possibly because they were using 5G networks to post anti 5G tin foil hat stuff so realised it was self defeating.

You really don't want that that stuff on the forums but, If you do, think it but don't post it as the forum's owner gets really shirty about that stuff.

Why not let Fred answer for himself?   That is if he chooses to do so.  Also "Violations of the Code of Conduct" doesn't really tell us anything.   That really should be the only reason that anyone is banned.   After all people shouldn't be banned for violating unwritten rules?  At least I certainly hope not.   We know that in the past some people have tried to cite portions of the Code that don't exist.  What would be nice to know is what parts of the Code as written.

Thank you Fred.  I assume that spamming comes under the section called ADVERTISING.

Why not let Fred defend himself?

After all he's got the ability to delete my post.

And be careful about making even subtle, obscure attacks against another forum member.

Andy has a zero tolerance policy now.

Love a bit of William. Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? 18 is my favourite.

Shakespeare walked into a pub but the landlord told him he was bard.

PS - I know my jokes are great but the green-eyed monster doth mock the meat it feeds on, so no getting jeleous.

Not really - It's more utter crap that's usually a scam of some sort.

What is the policy of the forum on spanking?

The spanker must first sit on one's spanking hand until numb. Upon being numb, it will then be used to fool the spankee that someone else is partaking in this wholesome family activity.
