Hello everybody,
Please how can I prove the sufficient means of subsistence, or * Having sufficient funds to support myself during my stay in Portugal?
should I transfer money to the bank in Portugal?
if YES, how much should I transfer for the visa to be approved?
by the way, I contacted Millennium BCP Bank to open an account without NIF, but they told me that I can not open an account bank online. regarding: https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=933658

Hi, Welcome

Please read this about D7 Visa (Minimum Resources):

https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.p … 42#5077438
(Post #7 - for all countries requiring a visa).

It is likely that the bank's procedures have changed. Try another bank, or use one of the online services that deal with remote account opening and are being promoted here by some forum members. Some of them have used those services (like nifonline.pt, etc...) and were happy with that.

Thank you for your response, I contacted a Solicitor in Portugal, she told me that I must transfer at least 12 thousand euros for the visa to be approved, I think it's not right, I have to transfer 7,980euro, right?

This MINIMUM VALUE will be changed for 2022. At this point there is no certainty yet, but it should be :

First adult (applicant): 100% of the current minimum wage (705€) = 8, 460€/year;

If it is only you who is applying for the D7 visa, I think the amount she is saying is exagerated. However, this minimum amount may not be a guarantee that the visa will be approved, it depends on who is evaluating your process and a number of other factors.

I Just had this conversation with my lawyer, they recommended to have more than the 7980 to up the chances. I'll do more. Hope this helps.

Follow the rules follow the law THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE EMOTIONAL OR OBJECTIVE DECISIONS... if the law states 9000 eiros in the account.  Then that is what it is .. otherwise tell them to fk off or you will call your lawyer
