Hi all,

Newbie on the Ireland forum? Don't know how to start?

This thread is for you ;)

We invite you to introduce yourself on this topic, to share with us your expat story if you are already living in the country,
or to tell us more on your expat projects in Ireland if you are planning to move there.

It will enable us to help you better but above all to wish you a warm welcome.

Welcome on board!

Hi! I live in America and want to move to Ireland. There is so much information out there my head is spinning. What would I look for as far as a service that can put it all together? Is that a good idea? How much money do I need to move, live, and find a job there?

Cheryl

Hello visionsinsight,

Welcome to Expat.com

Since you are new, for a start I suggest that you have a look at the Living in Ireland guide.

Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to create a new thread on the Ireland forum.

Best of luck,

Cheers,

Cheryl

Hello everyone,

I'm Cesar, and I'm originally from NYC. I moved over to Ireland during the start of the pandemic with my Irish wife and our son. We moved back to NYC last March, and now we're planning on moving back to Ireland before the end of the year again. We really really miss it, and the community feeling there is where she is from. I never thought I'd be wanting to leave NYC for another country. LOL

Hello
I'm planning to move to Ireland to settle and find a job in May/June 2022.  I'm looking to find a place to live for the first 1-3 months in order to apply for a PPSN number, so I can then buy a house etc.  I'm looking for accommodation (a room) that I can rent for this period.  Ideally West Cork, but will be happy anywhere (Donegal, Waterford...).  I'm a professional person, tidy, quiet and respectful and just need an initial space to get sorted.  Thank you.

I would like to move to Ireland, Cork in particular. As a Canadian what are the proper steps that I would need to take?

Thank you for your Time.

Welcome

seanmdoyle
My wife and I are planning a move to Wexford in September. I am going over the beginning of August to find a place to live, buy a car, apply for PPSN, etc. I'm still gathering info on the order that I need to do things. There seems to be a lot of "you need this before that, but you need that before this" info that I am getting.  Hopefully I have it figured out before I go.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Ask your friend to join the Forum herself and then she can place a job advert and put her CV in our Job section (top of this page).

Other than that, she should try joining LinkedIn and placing her availability there.

I've removed your duplicate post from the Forum.

Hope this helps.
