Hi all,

Do you know how soonest you could ask for a Single permit renewal? I know its usually 1 month but if someone has been experience sooner?

And currently how long does it takes for a dependent spouse single permit renewal?

We are all non-EEA citizen and I am working under single permit (3Y).

Thanks for sharing your experience

Hi Peter, I think it’s different according to regiona but in flanders there is a heavy work load and renewals can take up t0 8-10 weeks as we are informed today by authorities for my husband’s renewal (1st year). In their website it says renewal must be done before 45-30 days to expiration date but in some sources it says it can be done in last 4 months.

And one note, the renewal must be done on the internet, they are not accepting applications by post.

The best answer can be taken from your regions office. I suggest you to call them or send an email to get a correct answer.

Stay safe

Thanks Likeaen, as an update to the topic that could be useful for someone. My wife single permit application (dependent) got approval by the ministry 2 days after application was made in the commune.
