No Free Lunch

Post new topic

Enzyte Bob

No free lunch but a FREE haircut (men) at Landers. Just show your receipt at the Barber Shop inside Landers for the FREE haircut, the receipt doesn't have to be current.

The only drawback my stepson was number 19 in line and had to wait about an hour.

Nice promo, you don't get much for free in the Philippines. Sadly, I won't be needing it real soon.

Incidentally, what does a haircut at Landers usually cost?

I understand a haircut cost 150 PHP.

Doesn't help me much as I don't have much hair left, so I use a cheap rechargeable  clipper from China.

Also they have discounted gas for members.

At Sam's Club in the states the credit card purchase of gas was cheaper than the cash price at other stations. Also you got a 5% rebate using your Sam's Credit card paid once a year only good at Sam's Club.

For an hour wait. I value my time higher than that   :)

(I have much hair left, but have cut it myself since around 1980, and haircut cost much more in Sweden so I have saved a lot of money by that   :)

I have a brother-in-law who has a barbershop outside of CDO and he charges P40 for a men's haircut. I can't figure out how he pays the rent for his small shop.

I dont know how much the rent, electricity and such cost for him,

but 40p is common salary per HOUR in Phils in provinces for simpler jobs.

Depending of hairstyle, but very short - or shaved :)  - is done very fast.

If long hairstyle as mine it take around five minutes,

while the middle length take long time to make it proper.

Haircut from the local shops should be around P50. Most pinoys get basic tapered haircuts like in the miiltary. I always leave P100 considering I used to pay almost $20 for the same haircut in the USA. They remember and treat me better when I return. TIP: choose an older barber otherwise you might be at the mercy of someone who decided to call himself a barber after cutting his relative's hair.

I am always amazed at the haircut I get for 180p from my barber at Ayala. The whole works, including neck massage at the end. It always looks better than any haircut I get in the US at any price. Mine takes 20-30 min Coach.  I always tip him pretty good and I am always "next in line" whenever I walk by and ask when I can get a haircut, haha. Seriously this is one of the best deals in the Philippines, along with teeth cleaning for 800p.

I guess your hair is middle length or a complicated longer hairstyle than the long hairstyle I have, which is done in a few minutes even  when I do it myself which is some harder than doing at others by things become backwards when looking in mirror  :)

(I have cut my hair myself almost allways since my good barber died when I were 15yo.  My photo model sister during teenage she "demanded" me to cut her hair - after she had seen result of when I did cut at myself  :)  - she didnt trust anyone else. But thats the only two persons I have cut hair at ever. I just did it because I got disapointed when I let others cut mine, even a high cost Swedish "fashion" barbershop made crap, didnt make whats needed to compensate for swirl at one side at neck so it looked as they had cut one side an inch shorter than the other... Then I gave up testing barbers  :)  and did it myself.)

I tried to give myself a haircut in US during Covid, lol. That double mirror really makes it tough!

Not that complicated for my hairstyle.  Back when I were teenager I dont remember if my sister did show me or if I happened to see her paper laying open, but it was a desrciption how to cut a back then very popular GIRL long hairstyle very easy (=Page). I figuered out how that princip could be modified to make a BOY long hairstyle partly similar to a popular hairstyle among sportsmen back then.  (Similar to Mel Gibson hairstyle.)  Its a bit complicated COMBING three times, but then only THREE cuts !  :)   for all backside, up and sides. Plus several cuts at front same as done with some middle length hairstyles.

I suppouse others found it looked good because many asked me which barber I had and when I said I had done it myself then some didnt believe me but them, who believed me, asked me to cut their hair too (which I didnt. I have never had intention to become barber.)

Imagine the huge savings i had by just staying bald no haircuts nor shampoo to worry about for the last 7yrs.

Infact sex life has improved too...baldness does come with previlages.

Its true baldness can depend of higher testorone levels than average for each age group
although its ONE of the factors deciding if geting baldness or not.
((I function rather ok still WITHOUT pills inspite of I have all my hair still   :)

Related to the latest posts, but not much to the start post  :)
I get some info from medical researches. Today I got about effects of low sexual activity.
If losing your keys often it can depend of that   :)   because it can have effect at bad memory.
Its important for the prostate health to have ejaculations at least for as info say "age 50-89". Research have found a significatant difference at prostate health between less than 7 per month and over 21 per month (with the higher being thje better).  I doubt many 89 yo have over 21 per month though   :)
