Yes i did, you have to apply on the UDI website and finalise the payment online. Print the checklist, cover letter, power of attorney as per the email you will receive from UDI.
The documents have to be delivered at the VFS in Doha, which will then be sent to the Nowergian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, who will then forward to UDI.

@Maythe22nd  that's good can you tell me how long it took to receive the answer? And I wanna ask again. THE ANSWER regarding to my case should i receive from udi or vfs?

@Drsadi yes I Know I can contact udi but still I would like to hear from others who has experience ➕️ today is sat and tomorrow Sun and just this question comes to my mind.

@bayan. alyousef  Technically, the VFS is just a link between the applicant and the Embassy. Their work is only to collect your documents and courrier to the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The Embassy will review your documents and if they're in order, send them to UDI or maybe make a decision by themselves. Mine was forwarded to UDI and it took about 5 months and 14 days to get a decision. UDI will contact you or your power of attorney with your decision if granted or denied. If you'll be approved, the embassy will inform you to give your passport to VFS for them to stamp your visa on it. Usually the embassy will keep your passport and original documents until you get an answer. But i had to request to have my passport back  since i didnt want to be stuck in one place for too long without travelling.

Any one who has applied for family immigration with their child (sponsor) how long does it take for UDI to answer you back?

It’s about six months now since I have applied through my daughter!

@Maythe22nd hi, please where you called for an interview before the visa decision was made? Thanks.

@बायन। एलोसेफ I applied for Permanent Residence Permit in October 2021.  No reply has come yet.  Can you tell me how long does it take?

Guest8654

@cikechukwu254 I wasnt called for an interview, since i have been residing in a different country than my own over a decade. Just be patient since the decision takes time. Try to focus on other things for the moment as you wait, as the waiting time is dreadful and challenging. Incase you get to 6 months but still no answer, you might be scheduled for an interview. Its better for the applicant to go for the interview than the reference person, cause the Police appointment waiting time in Norway is crazy and adds to the UDI waiting time.

@Maythe22nd thanks for your response but I think Udi decides who goes for interview right ?

Guest8654

@cikechukwu254 its your case worker at UDI that decides that after reviewing your application and the documents submitted. You'll be contacted by email from both UDI and the Embassy, if an interview is needed. Goodluck!
