Leaving Bahrain with expired visa

Post new topic

Dear Expat Members,

My canceled work visa was extended twice for a month each by LMRA after paying 15bd each time. The extension too got expired on 25th April 2022 ( 10 days ago). Now I want to exit the country. Can I just book a flight ticket back to India for tomorrow or the day after and pass through immigration without any problems? If not what sort of actions would I possibly face from the immigration officials. Kindly help with your insights. Thank you.

Dear,

Please note that you will not able top exit Bahrain without an extension. If you try to exit 2 things can happen.

1) Immigration Official will deny you to exit Bahrain and ask you to get the extension first and come back to the airport with different flight ticket.

2) Immigration Official could lock you up as you are still in Bahrain without a Valid Visa or extension of stay. In this case you will have to book open ticket and someone needs to pay around 30 BHD at the Police Station. They will collect your fingerprint and you can exit. They will ban for 3-5 Years. - So I will not recommend this option.

Try to get a extension slip and exit Bahrain.

Canceled work visa can be extended  once a month for three times. So you can stay  three months legally from visa cancelled date by extending once a month.
