I couldn't find a post covering this exactly so I will post it.Is there a website to check which meds and food items I can bring like the TSA has?Are there certain non opioid meds I can't bring? I can list them if need be.Also are there any food items I can't bring other than fruit like coffee, nuts, salad dressing, popcorn salt, sauces. hard candies, chocolate? Are there customs concerns on any of those above and on any common electronics....hard drives, A/C adaptors, power supplies etc.Is there a max amount of liquids for checked baggage of lotion, perfume etc. I know for carry on baggage the max is 3.4 oz.Thanks- @MikeTVN

electronics voltage is 220v here so unless your device has a 110v-220 switch you need a new ac-adaptor/power supply for here, if it has 220v then all you may need is an adaptor from local hardware store around a dollar, or if stayiing long time change the plug again around a dollar. As long as it's used and not all shiny in a new box and sealed they wont charge you any import.Check your airline they have all that stuff on their website, what you can cant bring and baggage etc.Meds: I had no problem bringing mine which were sealed and had my name on. Baggies of tablets and unsealed containers full of meds is another story.Australia the rule is in origional blister packs or containers un opened with your name on it - which as I stated had no problem coming in - I also had a letter from my Doc stating what meds I was on so I could give to anyone to show they were my meds.Foods: unless you HAVE to bring a certain food, just go to a western sytle shop while here to get what you need, more expensive but you dont have to carry them, plus Vietnam has plenty of new foods to try while your here- @Andybris2020

Perhaps I should take it out of the box.Prescription Meds from US are not in sealed containers. They the amber translucent bottles but the label is a script with my name printed on it.I will be in a smaller town up north where there are not western food items and I certainly do plan on enjoying a good bowl of Pho and Bunh Mi if the bread is as good as I see it is in Saigon.- @MikeTVN
I know different people will have different experiences & advice on the meds but I can only tell you my experience. For the best part of 2 years I travelled in & out of Tan Son Nhat & Suvarnabhumi every other month & in my baggage I carried a virtual pharmacy shop of prescription meds (being treated for chronic Reactive Arthritis) & never ever had a problem & was never even asked what they were either at BKK or SGN.- @goodolboy

Good to know. It's one of the few remaining concerns I have before I leave.- @MikeTVN
I've also brought packaged bags of treats, shampoo and lipstick (a specific US brand) with me in checked luggage for friends with never a problem.
I usually take a blank plastic pill bottle and put all my meds for the trip into it. I was hassled for it once in HKG, and they only said I should keep them in their own labeled bottles next time. On my upcoming trip, I will have non-pill meds I have to keep cool, so they will stay in their original boxes and I will ask the FAs to keep them in their refrigerator.I keep a small tweezers in my shaving kit, and HKG has detected and taken three of them from me so far as possible weapons. It happened once in Europe, too. I'm flying through Japan this time, so it will probably not be a problem.- @paulmsn

I remember a post in the past where suggestions where made on "Hard to find" items in Vietnam.Possibly , Ibuprophen/Advil, Vitamins (?) , Vitamin C, Sunscreen lotion, Mosquito repellant(?), tincture of Iodine??Are there suggestions on items to bring that are more difficult to find in Vietnam?Excluding , of course, clothing and shoes.?Is this the right forum to ask this question?- @lpsedillo
